This would appear to be a well practiced scam for these people.  They claimed to be experienced international movers and gave an "all inclusive" quote for my move.  The hounded me by email and phone to select them, pointing out the many advantages such an experienced company offered.  Their service was also to include the handling of all customs requirements and result in hassle free door to door service.

Actually, once my shipment had left the country they asked for final payment before I was sure it would arrive.  I paid them and with the deposit and "final payment" I gave them about $8,000.00., which was slightly more than the original quote. My shipment arrived at Yokohama, and at that point they demanded a further $5,400.00 for "unforseen costs"  they had missed in their estimate.  When I balked, they imformed me that they would not release my shipment.

Caught in such a bind, I paid, then they produced improperly completed customs forms and bill of laiding resulting in storage fees of $138.00 per day for a further 2 weeks while they sorted this out.  Finally there was no help with unpacking, as had been included in the quote.  This was purposeful deceit, the scam being...low ball estimate and plan to almost double the charge when the customer has no alternative but to pay.  I see by the other reports on this company that this is their "business plan".  It is unacceptable and I will pursue it with appropriate Canadian agencies.

I would also like to contact the members of this growing collective as I have the exact same complaints.

How do we do this privately?

I was cheated too and want to be part of a collective action against Internic

AUTHOR: Raul G - (Argentina)

POSTED: Thursday, February 03, 2011

Something similar happened to me, tempted with a low-cost quotation, then problemsarose at the very beginning, when they started packing...and finished when other agency that I contacted (Eurotransport just vanished, leavingmy stuff at the harbor)released the container after 62 days since it arrived in Buenos Aires. It cost me the triple than the estimated ($16,000 vs $5,500). I have every bill, document and email proving that everything Isay is true...and Ill be very happy to be part of a collective suit against this cheaters.

So "Mediator" is either a Hack for Internic...

AUTHOR: Xav - (France)

POSTED: Friday, October 29, 2010

Either a Troll...
@Mediator
1-you don't read.

The contract term are contradicted by the vendor statements.

2-you are oriented.

You obviously are an expert on small prints, but you incidentally elude normal ones.  If you would mind to remove your blinkers for a split second, you may find that we specifically ask the vendor for explanations on those topics BEFORE SIGNING. Whenever there such contradictions are to be found, law is explicitly on the consumer side.

3-You have a very peculiar sense of humour.

And probably nothing better to do with your life but to brag about it...pasting EXACTLY the same comment on 3 distinctive webpages, I must say that looks to me like a "very lonely chap" sort of amusement.

Well since you are asking... it is worth nothing.  What you may or may not care about/ what is amusing you is of no relevance whatsoever. You do not have to prove anything about being related or not with Internic...and that being said, well done!  You proved nothing at all.

At least you are right about ONE thing: I am indeed much more careful about the companies I decide to deal with.
Big deal. I dare hope it should not have monopolized much of your brain capabilities to figure that out.

Isn't it written in the contract about added charges?

AUTHOR: Mediator - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 27, 2010

I found this under  ADDITIONAL COSTS

" Regarding Origin Services, we will send a moving team to Pack, wrap, Load your goods into the truck, deliver to the exports terminal, prepare for international shipping at an hourly rate of $90 plus cost of materials "

So, obviously this service was to be charged seperately...or am I mistaken?

As well, the terms and conditions clearly state the Third party charges (even though it is written small, you must zoom the image)

Next time, READ a contract, especially the fine print before engaging a company

Anyways, for what its worth, I couldn't care less about your situation nor Internic's.  My life is not affected 1 bit.  I just find this site and its reading material amusing!!!

mediator is not a mediator, just another hack from internic

AUTHOR: donald - (Japan)

POSTED: Thursday, October 14, 2010

Mediator is simply a hack from Internic trying to slander some of the customers who have been ripped off.  Like all of you following this thread, we have tried every avenue to achieve a fair settlement from the THIEVES at Internic, but their well practiced scam of holding shipments up in foreign customs in order to extract (steal) more money than was agreed upon is the real issue.  Also, I am 12 parcels short and they have failed to address this (they actually changed the bill of lading at one point).  My case may go to court in Japan, with one of their "representatives" over here.  Unfortunately the movers here were also ripped off by Internic and are trying to collect their shortfall from me.

You know the real burn in all of this is that I could have shipped with a reliable Name Brand Moving Company for less than the total from Internic (after the double billing scam) and I suspect I would have received all of my shipment.

Complaints based on Emotions and Not Facts

AUTHOR: Mediator - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, October 14, 2010

First of all, this reply is for Xav.  By "WE", it means SOCIETY.  2ndly, the ACTIONS I am referring to are anything to do with legal and/or definitive proof.  Not simply random babbling.  All of the complaints read on here are based purely on emotions and not facts.  I can see by your ignorance that you are part of the same group.  As I have also read the terms and conditions of Euro-Transport, which it seems that you have failed to do so.  So I ask of this XAV, get your facts in order before you go making accusations yet again!!!

All this looks like is random bickering on your part.  Come to us, THE READERS with solid facts and then we can find out the real story

What actions are you talking about exactly?

AUTHOR: Xav - (France)

POSTED: Sunday, October 03, 2010

I do now have good reason to affirm "Mediator" is nothing but a drone:

Definetely too lazy to be clever, as he doesn't even bother to change a line to his spam.

One could actually wonder if "Mediator", living in Montral, hides in fact a representative of Internic Moving Services too "shy" to file a proper and argumented rebuttal under its true identity as he should be bound to do by posting in this website.

Mediator wrote:
"we always tend to give right to the consumers but we must know if the claims are accurate. As well what were the steps before, during and after the claims from both parties"
Who is "we" by the way ?

Internic Moving Services should be entirely entitled to disprove this report as well as mine, incidentally you should also find that when its representatives bother to reply it is only to claim for slander without ANY facts but propaganda about
-a list of satisfied customers.
-no company would survive long if they were as bad as we say.

Such rethoric, is indeed far more serious ground for integrity don't you think?

So instead of disprove what cannot be -our consumer reports- why not trying to discredit their authors by claiming that those reports are nothing but confusing with no solid ground for assessing the accuracy of what we say...
Long story short... the best defense remain attack don't you agree ?

As for me you will find the discrespencies between my contract and their "final invoice" in the Ripoff link shown above.

As for "Actions that speak louder than words", that is very true !
But what if there is no action ???
I would have appreciate that the "Actions" of Internic Moving Services were in line with their "Word", which means I wish they had the very basic professionalism and integrity of honouring their contract.

I have been threaten multiple time by Mr. Jack Monier of suits for defamation since I am posting about my own customer experience with Internic Moving Services, and to this day I am still waiting for such action to take place.

If their is no ground for claims after all, breaking down our reports should be a piece of cake, even for a drone like "Mediator"

Actiions Speak Louder than Words

AUTHOR: Mediator - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 28, 2010

I came across your report and find it confusing.  As with most of the posts on here, it is mostly "he said we said"  there is no grounds in which readers can understand fully the claims being made and to determine who is at fault (either entirely or partially).  Of course, we always tend to give right to the consumers but we must know if the claims are accurate.  As well what were the steps before, during and after the claims from both parties.  Was compensation offered?  I would appreciate if you can post the "terms and conditions" as well as a copy of the contract so the readers can see first hand what was and was not included in the services

Thanks

Too many people are in that same boat for the sake of Internic.

AUTHOR: Xav - (France)

POSTED: Sunday, August 08, 2010

Poetic justice is the key.

You will most likely never see a dime of the money you have been scammed for,
we are pretty much in the same scenario and I hold no expectations whatsoever.

Any company must have positive media coverage to get customership and survive.

Moving companies are almost certain never to see the same customer twice so their reputation was of little consequence so far.

In case of Internic/Euro Transport they are adding an extra layer of greed, scam and intimidation to make the end of the month extra smooth.

My own plan is quite simple: I intend to have the brand "Internic /Euro transport" associated with "Scam" "Fraud" or "Ripoff" on every single page of any internet search engine, by bringing my testimony of their deceitfulness anywhere I can.

And I am thriving of getting from "Jack Monier" some lame threats for defamation for the simple reason that every single fact I am referring to can be proved and documented.

No companies behaving like this should be entitled to continue business, I feel ashamed for Canada and the efficiency of their law enforcement services to let this happen.
(We tried to contact them in many different ways and everything in their communication pipeline is set to discourage to get in contact with them)
I suspect that for many, bad business is better than no business at all.

If you think you have a solid case I would also recommend to contact the "FraudSquad" www.fraudcast.ca and tell your story, we will most certainly tell ours.

Re Internic Moving Scam

AUTHOR: donald - (Japan)

POSTED: Thursday, July 29, 2010

Marc and Ariane;

I agree that this company should be pursued legally.  While I don't realistically expect to recover any of my money, I would like to protect future potential victims.  I would be more than happy to part of a joint venture against this company...next step?

Suing Internic

AUTHOR: Ariane and Marc - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 29, 2010

I hope you'll get this message. My husband and I (from Montral, Canada) are actually suing Internic Moving services for the exact same reasons than you did. It would be such a help for our cause if we could show that our case is all but an exception, and that Internic has been ripping off other clients with the same modus operandi. We found many other cases of consumers who were ripped off by Internic, and we are trying to initiate a gathering of these stories and even built a collective action against them, if people agree to work together.
We would need to get some info on your case, so that we can prove the dishonesty of Internic in court. Could we get in touch?

Thanks a lot,

Ariane and Marc
