I attend this college from 2009-2013, and I have only received my Associates Degree with them. I will admitt that I did struggle with some of the course work, because there were no a lot of one-on-one tutoring resources(or should I say any). I am now trying to join in the Class Action Lawsuits that are pending against them. If there is anyone out there reading this report please respond especially if you are in Texas. I am having a hard time finding an attorney to take this case in Texas and I believe it is because there are not enough people to stand with me and take action. I wrote the following letter to the states Attorney General Gregg Abbott:

I saw an article online about the Attorney General fighting for the rights of students that have attended Corinthian Colleges. I know that I am not a resident of California; however I was a student of Everest Phoenix - Online. I recently attempted to re-enroll there in order to complete my Bachelor's Degree, the college informed me that in order to complete the 6 classes that I have left I would need to pay them an additional $24,000 or pay off the balance that I owe of $4,166. However, during my last term, before I took a break, everything was up to date and the school sent me roughly $1,500 in disbursement money. If they were sending me money I do not see where I should owe them anything. The school also informed me that I was supposed to reach my government cap, for student loans, at $52,000 but that I am at $70,000 instead. I did sign documents that allowed them to apply for the funding on my behalf. However, I feel that if I would have known about the $52,000 cap I would not have allowed that. I have my Associate's Degree from the school, but not my Bachelor's. I feel as though they are forcing me to make a decision about whether or not I want to re-enroll @ the $24,000 rate or find a way to send them the $4,166 that I supposedly owe them. I have read online that there have been a lot of issues about misrepresentation. I feel like the school has manipulated me into signing the various needed documents, in order get me to enroll into their programs. Do you have an opinion on this issue, since you seem to have the most experience in dealing with them? I am now about $80,000 in debt, and I only have 1 degree to show for it. I feel as though they are forcing me to make a decision or they will not allow me to get my transfer credits, so that I can finish my degree elsewhere.
