To whom it may concern!

 I have been doing business with randy for long time and after leaving hospise other day was getting gas at store and talked to his son who said they were slow for work and i went outside talked to randy and he confirmed also slow for work and money along with having to move because of cost where he was at and i told him I had some work for him to do.

We contacted randy for cleaning of some parts and was quoted $75 and max of $150 and when parts delivered not as clean as he usually has them and wanted $200 cash with no prior warning of increase in charges so we paid them.

At that time we asked how much to get 6 cylinder heads that we had dissasembled cleaned, inspected, valves and seats ground, and reassembly and was told $180 for set.

As she picked up heads I did say not i do not want to see price go from $180 too $250 or $300 as we expierenced in prior work done and she assured us price was $180 for set of heads.

On Tuesday we were contacted and she said heads were done and asked if we can go to bank and get her cash which we asked again for how much cash she wanted us to get from bank and she said $180 which we said ok.

Wednesday morning she called and asked if we had gotten the $180 cash for her and we said yes and she came and dropped off heads which we unloaded into cleaning tank as they also were not as clean as we had expected them to be.

I handed her $180 for work done and she handed me a bill for $1,080 which we responded that was not what we were told.

Randy then came over and screamed and shouted how we were not treating him right.

Based on how all this went we cleaned heads and then dissasembled them to inspect and found one of the valve guides needed to be reamed as valve was stuck in guide.

Next we saw that the 5 valve spring shims per 12 valves which were given to randy had not been installed so we have ordered them at a cost of over $100.

I have never seen anything like this.

I am glad we chose to look at heads closely or damage might have happened when we put engine back togeather.
