Expedia booked a vacation trip for me and my wife in February 2008. The trip started June 19, 2008. The schedule was: Wichita, KS to Denver, CO, to Las Vegas, NV, to Reno, NV. all the same days in successive flights. Their own schedule copied by me on 6/16/08 has departure Wichita 4:22pm, arrival Denver 5:02pm; departing Denver 6:30pm, arriving Vegas 7:23pm..... Departing Vegas 6:55pm (notice arriving Vegas time), arriving Reno 8:13pm. At the airport in Vegas the coneccting company (US Airways) put us in contact with expedia and we patiently explained to them 3 times with intervals of time of 20 to 25 minutes of time between explanations and their standard answer was: it is not our fault, the airlines made their schedule changes and we have not control on them.
No airlines made any changes in their schedule, we have tried to contact expedia on the Internet and we have received the same answer (computer generated) and attempt to contact their line are fruitless since you are on hold for up to 20 minutes at a time, so far no one has answered my calls. I'm at a dead end. Lawyers do not take this cases and my only hope will be to be accepted in a program as "Peoples Court" that will expose this heartless companies. If any one has a suggestion please let me know.

The person made a reservation in Feb and the schedule was later changed so that the connections colud not be made. The consumer was left holding the bag because expedia woulod not take responsibility for the problem and or hold the airlines feet to the fire so that the problem could be solved.

Next Time Pay Attention to the Itinerary

What is the complaint here? Back in February didn't you see an itinerary in front of you on the screen before you booked the trip? If I had seen the Las Vegas departure time before the arrival time I would picked another set of flights? Did you just happen to notice your itinerary three days before you were scheduled to fly? Wasn't the itinerary printed out for you in February? True - Expedia made a mistake. So does Travelocity, CheapFares and all the other third party booking sites. This is why I always book flights on the airline web site. It is rarely more expensive and in some cases the customer service agents are even in America and speak English. When you book with a third party and have a problem the airline tells you to contact the third party where you bought the ticket and the third party tells you to work out your problems with the airline. I gave up on these sites years ago and I'd advise you to do the same.
