Sure, get a free credit report review... Do you think it's free. Well let me give you an idea what you will be up against. And interestingly enough, I saw many other people on here with the same complaint!

You enter your credit card to ensure the correct report is given to you. Then they sign you up automatically into some credit monitoring... LOL What the heck is this scam. You start getting this misterious charge on your credit card bill showing up monthly as "INFO.FREECREDITREPORT.INFOFCR.COM CA" $14.95. If you were like me, I was just monitoring my own credit by checking up on the FREE credit report offered.

I had to call my credit card company to explain I had an unauthorized charge and wanted a telephone number to find out what this is all about. They gave me the 866-274-5002 telephone number. I called to find out that they said I signed up for a 7 day trial of credit monitoring. Hummm, I never knew that I did. Well they (Experian's consumer service) said that there is nothing they can do.

I believe this is truly a scam. It is interesting that they don't even put a telephone number on the purchase discription so you can't even get in touch with them to find out what they are charging you.

If I were you, I would let everyone know about this scam and stay off their site. By the way, I did look up the company and here is some info below: (Also, you may want to remember these names in case you see them on other companies.)

This really tops it all. The parent company is EXPERIAN. Wow, and you think they would try to preserve and protect your credit. LOL that is. Instead they scam you into monthly charges.

I never even signed up!

AUTHOR: Viv - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 03, 2011

I received a charge of $14.95 to my bank account in early December for this: FREECREDIT 18500 Von Karma 877-3002507 CA and I never signed up for their service, I have never even been to their website! How is my information being given to these people? The only other transaction I did online that day according to the gentleman I spoke to at my bank was an online order I placed at Vons.com for home delivery service. I am wondering if my information was leaked from their website. I have filed a dispute of fraudulent activity with my bank and may have to wait up to 45 days to get my money back.

I called the number above and the recording says "we may need you to provide us with your social security number" ........ are you kidding me? So I waited and the gentleman that answered asked me for my name, date of birth, zip code. I said I would not furnish my date of birth. And of course, he said he could not help me...Really ? you can't find me by my name and zip code? no, he says, how about your credit card number? I said no. So plain and simple, he was not able to help me at all without this personal information. Now I know my name is not common and he could easily find me but he flat out said he could not without the other information.

This is just ridiculous. I am going to start purchasing pre-paid debit cards so these kind of fraudulent transactions will no longer occur.

It is in the big light blue box on the left.  Any normally reader reads left to right so that info would be the first thing you see.
