Target sent out an email to those impacted by their data breach.  As part of their efforts they offer one year of free credit monitoing to all those who were impacted.  No where in any of the communications from Target states that your credit report is only available for 30 days.  When you register with the Activiation Code, it clearly states that its one year of free credit monitoring.  On the Experian website itself, there is no where that states that the credit reports are only availbale for 30 days.  When I called into the Customer Care number they said that you only get it for 30 days and then you have to pay.  They could not give me a good explanation on what the purpose of stating it was free credit monitoring for a year.  After 12 months they state that the account will automatically expire. I don't see the benefit of having the account if I can not access the credit report for longer than 30 days.
