EZIP Search Phone scam on your home phone for internet services Charlottesville, Internet

My husband and I own a small painting company and in September 2010 he was called on our home phone line and was given a supposedly 30 day free trial from EZIP Search which the only thing my husband agreed to was them sending information about the program through the mail.  We did receive the information and never logged in and actually called to cancel the service within the 30 days.  The following month I noticed a 99.00 charge on my phone bill through Century Link.  I called EZIP and was told I did not call within 30 days and that I was responsible and would not be refunded.  In November I received another bill for 99.00 and called again and was again denied a refund but they did "cancel" the listing.  I called Century Link who put a block on the line and charges me monthly for that lovely service.  I have refused to pay this 200.00 and as of yesterday, Century Link has cut off my internet service and phone line for refusing to pay this non-essential service.  I have been paying my monthly telephone bill and internet bill though.  $200.00 may not be alot of money to some people, but it is a tremendous amount for someone self employed in the construction field right now.  Unfortunately, I blame my phone service carrier Century Link almost as much as I blame EZIP for who would think that you could be billed for something else then your regular phone bill and then I have to pay extra for a blocked line.  I could spit nails right now.
