#1 Consumer Suggestion

Payoff ripoff, your not alone

AUTHOR: J - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 10, 2003

If you check further into this web site you will see past references to payoffs. Yes, we got the 12,000 plus, actually 13,000 amount over our original amount of loan. Only reason we paid it was to get away from Fairbanks and pursue legal action later as they were after our home for no reason.

Refinance as fast as you can is my suggestion, but contact an attorney for advise, it is worth it. Copy these web sites regarding payoffs and all the others that seem to fit your situation. Call your local tv stations, many major cities are covering this on their evening news.

Read the www.servicingnews.com site news and updates every day, and all their past reports and keep checking out all your avenues. Our loan officer knew all about Fairbanks and was fearful we would lose our chance at refinancing because of their delays, etc........
Good Luck and don't let them get away with it but protect your home and your sanity the best you can.
