This company faithtechno.net called me pretending to be Microsoft saying that my computer has errors in it and needs to be checked out.

I got these calls for over 3 months and finally decided to there must be something to it. They gained access to my computer but I was very leery and watched them very closely and then went into show me that there are indeed errors on my system.

Everyone has log errors, it is normal anyway they began to try to stall me on the phone. Saying things like I need to check something out just a minute please. I did not worry too much about it because all my files on my computer are encrypted.

Over and over they tried to get me to buy a package from them for $60.00 to fix these so called errors. Eventually I realized this was a scam and I disconnected my internet connection and rebooted.

I found several third party programs on my computer. After calling Microsoft they helped me to restore my computer and remove the spyware they implanted into my computer.

Microsoft told me they never call their customers and anyone that calls you saying they are from Microsoft is a scam artist.

I then went to the bank and reset all my accounts and set up new ones just in case. I was a victim of this scam but because of my prompt actions I wasn't hurt other than feeling stupid for falling for it.

I will say this though when they called me I could tell the guy was in a call center and there were lots of people falling for the same scam that I fell for.

BUYER BEWARE faithtechno.net scam. Do not fall for this scam. I hope this helps you, best of luck.
