Family Auto Mart Defrauded me on the purchase of a vehicle that didn't run. Melbourne Florida

I purchased the car on a Thursday and it completely died on Friday while in very heavy traffic. I was nearly hit from behind twice. When I called to notify the company of the car, they didn't care and told me that I left the lot with it, and it's my problem now.

I purchased it "As Is". This was on a weekend so I couldn't do anything until Monday morning. I called the loan company they dealt with, and told them to cancel the loan, and that I'm returning the car. I paid for it to be towed back there, as it didn't run, and stopped by after working all day to sign papers to end it. I had put $1,000 down on the car and was told that it would not be returned to me. The car sat in my driveway for three days as it wouldn't start. That can be checked as it has a GPS on it. 

I'm a hard working individual with good credit. I was told it was a great running car. As it was, the car was only $2,900, but because I financed it instead of paying for it in full, it somehow shot up to $5,800. I did not want to be stuck with a car that did not run, and came complete with costly repair bills, as the problem with the vehicle seems to be all electronic.

I just want them to return my money and call it a day. We made the down payment with good faith that the vehicle would be fully functional and safe. This car was a time-bomb just waiting to go off as soon as we left the lot, and we're pretty certain the establishment knew of this issue before selling us this clunker. It's outright fraudulent, and will not be tolerated.
