This has got to be the worst Family Dollar Store, regarding panhandlers. I have complained to the manager many, many times, but she shrugs it off and gets rude when I tell her about this. She is more interested in taking breaks in the back of the store than watching out for panhandlers. Even inside the store, no one is close to the register, which makes it easy for theft. I feel that it is unsafe for people to shop at this store with so much indifference to the panhandlers outside the doors and no one cares.

Call the cops

Call the cops and they will run these panhandlers off the property . You can also request a trespassing warning against them . If they come back when they have been banned from the property call the cops and this person will be arrested for trespassing. I worked at a store were I had folks outside begging people for money and I ran them off.

Well, first off in NEW YORK be careful, which I am sure you are aware of this) I went thru this in atlanta (at dollar general) and in FL stores. The best thing to do is call corp over and over. They may have someone from corp watching the store to see if the employees are the ones giving the merchandise to them or not.2. make notes of date, time, and who(that means a name if they dont have a name tag, they are busted but get a name)and a good description of the person.

They got this thing going on the number which they have listed on the front door (if you have a problem with this store or etc.. call this number, that is another store number with a "store manager" talking to you) get corp number, or go online and send a letter to loss prevention and customer service, if they dont respond back at you, tell them you will get the local newspaper.3. Get comment cards from them or a neighbor store and send it, if someone dont do or say something, it can mean trouble and harm to customers and even employees as well.!
