She explained that I would have to pay for my own gas in the company van and that was all she explained. Two weeks later I find out from her dispatcher that the employer also deducts $75 a day from employee paychecks, when I confronted my employer about my concern, she claimed she told me about it. I'm confident I would remember her explaining a fee so high. One month into my employment with Family Logistics, I was informed by another employee (names are left out for privacy reasons) that the employer is also deducting 15% of the money from each and every trip we (employees) make. I'm sure I don't have to do the math on all this, it adds up to pretty much more than what I'm making. If I had known all of this info from the beginning, I would never have taken this job. This company is a complete Rip Off. I have children to provide for and bills to be paid, I cannot sit around and wait for the company to straighten up. To the patients that Family Logistics provides for, I strongly suggest you find another medical transportation provider.

When I was asked to start my driving position with Family Logistics, I was informed that I would be making  AT LEAST $150.00 a day, and also that I would have to provide my own gas for the company vans. Naturally I was okay with that because of the amount of income I was told I would be making. After the interview was completed and I was hired on, I started my training process. After a full week of training, I asked my employer if I would be receiving a paycheck on the following payday. She said yes, that I would. Payday rolls around and I head to the office to pick up my check in my personal office box. There's nothing in my box. I call my employer to ask her where my check is, and she then proceeds to tell me that she holds my first check and I won't be getting paid till the NEXT payday. WHY WASN'T I INFORMED OF THIS YESTERDAY WHEN I CALLED??!! Why did she tell me I would have a check THAT payday?! So I shrugged it off and went negative in my bank account because I had bills piling up. When I finally received my first paycheck, it was a total of $166.00. I was expecting it to be a little on the short side, seeing as how it was only for training. When I approached my employer about the amount on my check, she explained that she only pays $25.00 per day of training. So you're telling me I was paid $3.50 an hour?! Somewhere, somehow, I don't think that's legal. I can't stretch that small pay over 2 weeks on top of bills piling up and throwing my account into the negatives!! So, again I shrugged it off, thinking my next real check will be huge and will make up for all that trouble I just went thru. Nope. My next check after that one was barely more than the training check. I then find out from a co-worker that our employer is deducting $75.00 a day from our checks to cover "van fees". When I confronted her about the fees, she proceeded to tell me that she told me during the interview.... I think I would have remembered such a huge deal! A couple of weeks after that issue, I then find out from her dispatcher that she's also deducting 15% from each trip we make, when I confronted her about that issue, she had nothing to say to me about it other than "I'm sorry, I'll try to cut some of the fees in half for you." If these fees can be manipulated then that must mean they aren't mandatory... CORRECT?? So, Saturday (3/7/15) I was supposed to receive my paycheck. My employer tells me she lost my paperwork and couldn't get my check printed. I told her hey it's okay because I KEEP COPIES OF ALL OF MY WORK, and she then told me to leave the copies in her office and she will have my check ready by Sunday and we can meet somewhere for me to pick it up. Sunday (3/8/15) it's 12 noon. I call her and ask where we can meet so I can get my check, she proceeds to tell me she has a "Family emergency" and will have to call me later on in the evening to meet with me. I never heard from her the rest of the day. Now here I am, still employed with this wretched company and trying to look for another job. What a RIP OFF. Please help.
