My Name is Tiffany. I have referred a customer to you purchase a car from Family Motors V (on kempsville) and me and the entire family of your purchasers are EXTREMELY dissasisfied with how we have been treated, talked to, and feel very strongly about NEVER returning for repeat business, whether it be from me, them or anyone we know that will ever look for a car. here is a list of my complaints (if you care enough to listen):

1) I referred my customers (Shalamar) who purchased a $10,000 car from you. Before I recommended her, I called first. It was confimrmed by 2 sales associates that the payout for referrals was $150 as a Bird Dog fee. I sent Shalamar with a business card of Family Motors, with my name and telephone number. She gave it to the sales associate who attatched my name to the deal.

2) I called to speak with the manager, who in this case is Jerome, to find out the process to recieve the bird dog fee, he tried to act like he really wanted me to send referrals. We decided to meet face-to-face so we both know who were doing business with. We talked at length, and then we agreed that he would pay me the bird dog fee, but he insisted that it was only $100, but promised that if i sent 4 people in a month, that he would pay up to $200 for each. We shook hands to close the deal, and I was told that as soon as the deal closed that he would give me the money. The sales assoiciate I referred Shalamar to see was Adrianne. He also pulled me to a back room and told me NOT to refer any business to HER because she "did not know what she was doing, and probably wouldn't be there long" and Intoduced me to a SNAKE of a salesman, and told me to refer them to him instead (CHICO)....I considered that to be VERY DISRESPECTFUL to me and to ADRIANNE, and that let me know they are not FAIR or HONEST about sales or business.

3) After time passes, and the deal should have been done, Jerome tries to tell me that my name was not on the deal, I did not refer her to him, and he was not going to pay me. He lied to me in so many ways to keep me from getting the money, an every lie he told, I was able to confront him with the truth, and then he had another excuse. He even got to the point where he was ignorig my calls, which left me to talk to his assistant manager. After explaining the situation, he confirmed that he KNEW I referred Shalamar and said there must be a mistake, and theat he would talk to Jerome, but instead, to make up for the confusion, he wouod talk to Jerome.

4) I went to Family Motors, I cornered Jerome, and he agreed to pay $300 on the next deal. I documented our conversation, and I returned to drop off a copy so their would be no more confusion. Jerome was not there, but he Mngr. Assistant was their. He verbally confirmed what Jerome had told me, and I reminded him that my name IS on that contract, that they should check, and I sincerly felt like Jerome was playing games with me, and had NO intentions on paying me. I felt it in the way he talked to me, and how he kept tryig to find ways not to pay me. It was verified that my name WAS on the deal, which revealed Jerome was LYING, and further confirmed my feelings.

5) A month passes of Jerome ignoring my phone calls, or if he answered and I was on the phone, he would make an excuse to put me on hold, and I would be on hold litereally for 10 or 15 minutes or more, with no return or pick up from Jerome, until I would finally hang up ( this happen more than once or twice, so I feel it was purposful) I finally return to see him, and he talked to me as if Me and my referrals were problems, and never wanted us to do business with the company again. He said WE were giving him a headach, and told me that he did not want anymore of my business, and as far as he was concerned, NEITHER did Shalamar or anyone she know needed to come back ever again as well. I was very upset after this comment, because we are customers, I bought a car from you all, she did, I was looking at another Truck on on the lot that day, and with those comments, I never took the test drive becasue I would rather give my hard earned money and referrals to people who deserve and appreciate the business.

6) After blaming us for his headache, he exclaims that he wasn't going to pay me. We engaged in conversation until the point where I felt he had really crossed the line, and even his employees felt it, because CHICO called me inside. At this time, I believe Jerome upset was for a number of reason, one being because he had said too much. In my presense, Jerome and Chico talked about details in Shalamar's transaction, including the fact that the lost 11 checks she wrote, and they were not found. They also conversed about how the paperwork had not been taken cared of properly or attentively, and after 3 or 4 minutes in the conversation, I interrupted to ask what the bottom line was. Jerome words were "Bottom line, you aint getting shyt" I believe he was going to say more, but Chico interrupted exclaiming for me to come inside and ignore him. Chico sat me down and handed me a $100 dollar bill. I looked at it, and threw it on the table. I told him that this was not the only reason I was here, and I did not appreciate being talked to like this. I asked him what in his right mind would make me want to send more people to this place. he responded that the $100 he was giving me was for my feelings, for the headach, and the fustration, and to request that I consider giving HIM (CHICO) business and just forget about jerome said, cause he would pay me out his pocket, and this was to prove it. His request in exchage was to get Shalamar in to sign a bank Draft form (ach letter or something like that). Reluctantly, I accepted, but I made it clear that I was accepting this because he was right. I did not have to be talked to or about this way, and I was embarrassed in front of Shalamar's parents because them blamed me and looked at me negatively because I recommended their daughter to buy from them and that they would be taken cared or, instead, they feel the opposite, almost to the point they were taken advantage of and really underappreciated, if appreciated at all by the sales and managment staff of Family Motors. They "advised" me to get things right.

7) I spoke with John Malaspina, who explained the Bird Dog fee thing, and said that was illegal unless I took the salesperson test, which lets me know Jerome was doing Illegal business in the first place, which confuses me because I was encouraged to continue bringing people in, and as a car sales person of Family Motors, we are encouraged to use every person we talk to to get them to become a birdog for us, especially persons who just purchased a car. That what Family Motors taught us ( including me) when I worked for you all. All of this is very interresting. He assured me he would talke to Jerome, get in his a*s, and make him give me the $100, even if that meant it had to come out his pocket, since he did agree on it, and we shook on it to close the deal and agreement. ( I regret not putting it in writing, but I am here to fix this however I have to, because it is unbusiness like, unfair, and very unprofessional, and the principle behind this whole thing must be justified.) I made it clear the the $100 I accepted came from CHICO, NOT JEROME, and the money was not the bird dog fee, but as CHICO indicated, served the purpose of keeping things moving and compensating me for what I was going through, and he attempeted to appologize on behalf of Jerome, which appology I did not accept. I made it clear I did not want that $100 to be confused with the $100 bird dog fee me and Jerome shook on. It was seperate, and the $100 (which should be, as confirmed previously, $150, but I was ok with the $100, i just wanted what was fair to come to me like we agreed). John Malaspina wholeheartedly agreed, and assurred me he would take care of it, and I would get it very soon.

8) That was over 2 weeks ago. I have patiently waited, to give Shalamar time to get in, Jerome enough time to process the paperwork and disburse my money. When Shalamar went in, CHICO said some negative things about ME to her, and she felt very uncomfortable and disrespected because her and I are close friends, and we were both sure they knoew that, so for him to say the things he said, and to call me a b***h to her was beyond disrespectful, and neither could understand why he would go there, unless he WANTED her to tell me to give a reason to get made, then come back upset and irrate so I would mess myself out of the Birg dog fee I am due, But I am smarter thatn that, and I am sure you can assess that from this letter. This has gone toooooooooooooo far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, Jerome told me his did not care what John said, or wht he told me, he was not going to pay the money. This will be the last time i reach out to get this resolved quietly. Shalamar's parents feel the same way I feel.

I would like a response immediately, as I plan to hand deliver a typewritten copy of this to you all there at RK Chevrolet Today to ensure the complaint has been recieved, and if Thrsday comes without a resolution, I will take this further without a limit.

I, Tiffany, on this 28th day of June, 2006, have discussed the issue with the company. We have resoved the agreement on mutual terms, and I am satisfied with the results.
