Farm Bureau General Insurance Company ripoffs cheats bullies dishonest abusive and scam artist Lansing Michigan

In Dec 2000, our home took massive water damage due to ice damning. As it was the holiday season, I was not able to contact anyone from Farm Bureau Insurance until the first week of Jan 2001.

Although we requested not to have a certain adjuster handle our claim due to a past problem with this adjuster, Farm Bureau Insurance sent that very same person anyhow. However, it was not for another 5 weeks.

Our home ended up with a toxic mold, Black Mold, due to this problem. The adjuster said he noticed it, but failed to ever mention it to us and I was running a licensed day care. Children, as well as my own, my husband and myself became very ill.

Farm Bureau Insurance Company sent an un licensed roofer to our home whom I refused to allow do the work as it was obvious after meeting with him, he had no idea what he was talking about.

I sent Farm Bureau Insurance Company the bids and I even put a down payment down with a licensed and reputable roofer. However, the adjuster went behind my back and hired an unlicensed contractor.

We hired an attorney. When this attorney started to dodge our calls or emails, I did some checking into him only to discover that he had only been in private practice for a few years and before that, had been working for none other than, Farm Bureau Insurance Company !!

Due to the toxic mold, we were forced to leave our home and everything in it. First Farm Bureau Insurance tells us we have to replace everything and give them the bills to get reimbursed. But the only way we could do this was by using our good credit line. Then Farm Bureau refused to pay, for anything !!

Farm Bureau Insurance Company not only refused to pay for our rent while we continued to pay our mortgage payments, but refused to pay us for anything, any loss.

Next Farm Bureau files a lawsuit against us, claiming we had filed a fraudulent claim or something. We filed a counter suit.

In Nov. 2003, we were found not guilty of any wrong doing. Farm Bureau Insurance Company was found guilty of neglect of our policy and trespassing. The 8 panel jury awared us a monatary judgement, or settlement.

Farm Bureau Insurance Company then filed an appeal with the Michigan Court of Appeals. The Michigan Court of Appeals found against us, in a 2 to 1 vote. It was about this time, I remembered something our EX attorney had told me about his wife being a Michigan Court of Appeals Judge. She uses her maiden name, so the connection wasn't clear at first.

When I informed our new attorney of this, he checked and discovered I was right, However, he was told that the 3 Judges from the Michigan Court of Appeals were from a different part of the state and there was no connection between our first attorneys wife and any of the Judges.

We took it to the Surpreme Court, not realizing what had really happened. Surpreme Court refused to hear our case and went with the Michigan Court of Appeals decision.

Today I discovered that one of the Judges who voted against us in the Michigan Court of Appeals, actually works at the same office as our EX attorneys wife !!

I as well discovered today that the other Judge who found against us in the Michigan Court of Appeals, has done numerous other cases with none other than our EX attorneys wife.

The Judge who found in our favor, is the only one who I cannot find any connection between that person and our EX attorneys wife !!

Now Farm Bureau Insurance Company isn't happy that they cost us everything, even having to file bankruptcy, their now asking to sue us for all their legal costs !!
