Shortly after registering a new company LLC I received an unsolicted letter from Florida Corporate Filing Services in Tallahassee advising that I should apply for a Florida Certificate of Status report before the end of the month and that this certificate wiould be necessary for conducting company business. The amount required for certification was $47.99. I mailed a check on August8, 2014.
After receiving no certificate by the end of September I called the number 850 659 3480 an aoperator referred me to a lady who claimed she was puzzled by the fact that I had not recieved the certificate but advised that if I still had not received this in another week I should call back and she would email me a copy.
The certificate has still not arrived. The letter and the address used by F.C.F.S. is desigend to look like an official document from the State of Florida Division of Corporations. I did not send funds to receive an email.
This is a complete and brazen rip off.
