I am a 54-year old disabled man. I got a divorce three years ago, and the ex-wife and the court agreed that she got the Chase VISA card and it's debt. I have reams of notes as to times, who I talked to at what phone number, including what they told me to do and all would be taken care of.
So began their charade, send me a form, tell me to fill out another, now we need this one signed, anon. When the last form got sent in, all of a sudden no one knew me or anything about any conversations that I had with any of their so-called representatives. They have ignored several attempts on my part to re-initiate contact as to how to cure this. My legal-aide lawyer faxed it to them more than once, again they ignored us completely. The local Chase bank tried to help and sent no fewer than three faxes, after confirming with an agent on the receiving end all of the details. Still nothing.
They are now torturing me and my family with non-stop calls day and night, even on my cell and when I am at work. We can not answer because they will not allow us to record the conversation and we already know that they are more than willing to at least lie, so all communication with them must be in writing. We have called our Congressman and Senators, but they are all getting settled into their new offices and haven't time to bother, at least yet. We have complaints in to the BBB and the FTC. We are, however, just the little guy. Apparently, some seem to think that we may be magic turnips.
I am on a fixed income, in ailing health and trying to help out my son and his ladyfriend. The ex makes around three times what I can even dream of at this point. These Goliaths have just gotten a vulgar amount of bail-out money. Is this showing responsible fiscal management?
JPMorgan Chase VISA knows that they not just above the law, they ARE the law.
If it is my reader's intention to start a savings or checking account, or to acquire a credit card, I humbly submit that JPMorgan Chase is the absolute worst choice that one could possibly make out of this field of insolvent modern day robber-barons. To wit, I have ended a better-than twenty year relationship with my local Chase Bank and will have all of my accounts closed ASAP, the last of the checking trickling in as I write. I am so very small that they likely will not miss me, but if I can persuade enough other fed-up folks to boycott or pull their business and cancel their cards by my missive here, maybe the government will stop being so willing to help these white-collar criminals stay in business' that they run so very poorly that our very nation is on the brink of something like what just happened to the old Soviet Union; oblivion.
Folks, I was just trying to pay my bills.

Confusing..

Your report is a bit confusing. But it appears to basically boil down to you and your Ex had a joint account, and in Divorce court the decree states that your ex was responsible for the debt. I have a feeling that at some point she failed to pay this and they are now coming after you.

If this is what is happening, I got some bad news for you that is 100% legal and correct. The divorce decree has zero enforcibility with any creditor. Was a lawyer from Chase in court with you? The answer is No, so even though your Ex and the courts agreed, Chase did not agree or have a chance to disagree, so they can not be held to the court order. The only way to get yourself off of that card is to either pay it off and close it, or get Chase to agree to take you off. Which by the way most creditors won't do for this exact reason, where the "responsible one" decides to not pay they can still go after the other person.

The best thing you can do is if possible pay off the account to lessen the damage on your credit. Then go after your Ex in Civil court, which is where the decree can be used to get her to pay you back. However, it still won't fix any damage to your credit report. If you can't pay it off first, then go after your ex for a violation of a court order(by not paying the debt she is technically in violation). Depending on the judge and exact case law they may take additional punitive action against the ex.
