The absolute worst moving brokers around. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

Total RIP OFF!

The WORST customer service ever!  Actually NON-EXISTENT customer service!

They actually told me:
-They had no time to go over my inventory by the dispatch "Manager"!
-Too bad, when my two day window for pick up would not be met!
-Sales Rep was never to be heard from after initial deposit was paid!
-Estimate was way off!
-Their "Legal Department" told me too bad when I complained!
-They put you on old, answer the phone, put you on hold, repeatedly!

RIP OFF, NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISCOURTEOUS, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I'm certain the "reviews" on their "site" are written by the "employees" themselves.
There's no way they believe they do a good, even decent job.

When you call an establishment and every single person you speak to is rude, it cannot possibly be someone having a bad day on the job.  Not everyone not every single time you call.  They do not care in any way, shape, or form.

First Call Movers SCANDALOUS Fort Lauderdale Florida

AUTHOR: SB - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 12, 2013

Unbeleiveable...  Is this company still in business?  The absolute worst not only "movers" anywhere, but "customer Service" is lost to them.  They have no idea how to speak to people, no idea how to organize, no idea how to coordinate.

Consumer beware!  Do not, under any circumstances use this company.  You get what you pay for, so if you'relooking for a cheap move, a cheap move you will get!

this complaint is invalid

AUTHOR: First Call Movers - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 24, 2013

We strongly reject SB's allegation of rude, arrogant and uncaring treatment.  We are consistently kind, patient and professional when speaking with customers.  SB's allegations and his refusal to contact us leads us to believe his entire complaint is invalid.  SB refuses to understand that the sales representative provides an ESTIMATE based on the information available to him, not a guarantee, as specifically disclaimed in the estimate agreement signed by SB.  Therefore, there were no empty promises made only incorrect assumptions by SB apparently due to his failure to read the estimate agreement.

Rebuttal - please contact our legal department to discuss

AUTHOR: SB - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Once again, the point is completely missed. Your "Legal Department" is as rude, arrogant and uncaring as your "Customer Service" department.

Quoting this particular disclosure over and over does not cancel out the fact that your sales rep deviated from it, continuously, throughout the entire conversation.  Again, he deviated from your very own policy.

Your sales rep misrepresented himself by making empty promises, in turn misrepresented his employer, First Call Movers.  Therein lies the problem.

please contact our legal department to discuss

We thank SB for his follow-up, apologize that we apparently were unable to discern his identity, and invite him to contact our legal department to discuss the problems he mentioned.  For example, to explain that the disclosure he quoted in his follow-up is accurate; we provide an estimated pick-up date however we do not guarantee the pick-up date because there are many things beyond our control that can delay pick-up: mechanical breakdowns, weather, etc.

Incorrect Cancellation Assumption

AUTHOR: SB - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 22, 2013

Unfortunately I was unable to cancel my move.  It actually took place.  I would have gladly sacrificed losing my deposit, cancelling your "services", and going with someone else had timing not been an issue.
Not during any conversations had with First Call Movers, was anything explained "calmly", but rather arrogantly.
Owner of the company?  I wonder where you, or your Executive Assistant were, (if one exists), when assistance was/is needed?
What's your process when a customer asks to speak to a manager or even a supervisor?

When your "Compliance Department" states:

"First Call Movers makes no express or implied warranties or guarantees concerning pick-up or delivery time/date"

That is a lie.  I was specifically given a 2 day window.  My window was missed by 3 days.

cancelled during non-refundable period

AUTHOR: First Call Movers - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 22, 2013

We believe this person to be a client who recently cancelled their move soon before pick-up but after their refund period had expired.  We calmly explained our refund policy to him however he became hostile and threatening upon learning he was unable to receive a refund of his deposit.  We apologize for his dissatisfaction and we respectfully request he understand that we incur significant expenses related to the arranging of transportation, particularly when the booking date is so close to the pick-up date, therefore we set a limit on the time frame within which a customer may receive a refund.
