First Choice Emergency Room National Medical My 20 yr old daughter had a sore foot, and went to this place thinking it was like an Urgent Care, which we have used many times for a reasonable fee or charge. They do tell you that it is an "Emergency Care" facility - but don't tell you or give you any idea what the fees/charges will be. Aurora Colorado

For 3 x-rays & a prescription for Ibuprofen; they charged $2,660 !!
I have excellent insurance with Aetna; they disallowed about $800 and paid about $800; and I am left with two bills of $522.39 + 478.10 = $1000.49 !!! This for 3 x-rays! No matter how you explain it, that's a Rip-off.

I have to add. My wife called and disputed this bill. She complained that our daughter had no way of knowing the financial obligation that she was signing up for. In the end, they agreed to reduce the bill by 75%, from $1,000 down to $250.00; still more than we should have to pay - but certainly a reasonable accommodation.
