Called FCNB to make payment by phone, 11/20. Agreed to $8.00 charge for pay by phone; Rep said there would be a $35. late charge fee.

My payment was due on 11/20-I was calling and making a payment on the 11/20; FCNB will not post for three business days.

What is the difference paying by check over phone or sending check by mail? Rep. only repeated charges!

This Bank probably does not post a payment by check received by
mail for three business days!

Law states according to F.D.I.C. that a payment will be posted the same day it is received.
I guess FCNB is above the Law.

I have sent payments in the past five days before the payment was due; I was charged late fees; When questioned they only refer to the policy on late charges.

They will not even consider reversing the charges; They do not make errors. They do not know what Customer Service is.


This Bank does not care what Customer Service is, as long as they can get away with SCREWING the customer by adding these charges.

First Consumer National Bank handles charge accounts for Spiegel, Eddie Bauer, Hanover, Fingerhutt, FCNB Visa and M/C.

I had some of these accounts I have closed all; Paid off all except Spiegel.

Have notified each company that I will not shop or buy from them and will spread the word, about the Unrealistic POOR Customer Service that I received from that RIPOFF Bank FCNB.

These Companies did nothing and could care less!

I work Retail-I can teach FCNB's Management & Staff what Customer Service is; What they expect when they buy & return Product.
