First Extended Service Corp. is the company that I have for the extended warranty on my 2002 FORD F150 Harley model. This is a common Ford problem. The spark plug ejects from the head. I took it to my local Ford dealer. They called First Extended Service Corp. explained the problem. They denied the claim, said they don't cover spark plugs. After 2 weeks of the Ford dealership telling First Extended Service Corp. that it had nothing to do with the spark plug, I called the corporate office at 800-688-0940 and spoke to them. I was told that was what the Ford dealer reported the problem was. I told them that was not what they said, I know exactly what they reported and it had nothing to do with a spark plug being bad. First Extended Service Corp. office then sent out an inspector. Their inspector reported back to First Extended Service Corp. the problem and said they needed to fix it the way the Ford dealer was stating it was to be done. I called back to the corporate office and was told by First Extended Service Corp. that what their inspector said was only a suggestion. They would not approve the repair the way the Ford dealership wanted it to be done. The Ford dealership will not do it the way First Extended Service Corp. wants it done because it would probably destroy the engine. Ken at the corporate office of First Extended Service Corp. said, "We do 10 of these a day, and only a few come back with a damaged engine." He also said "You need to take your truck to a repair shop that has a family to feed who has bills to pay and will be willing to do the job the way we want it done."
I could not believe he said that. So, here I am, 30 days with no truck. The Ford dealer will not do it the way the warranty co. wants it done because it is not safe to do it that way, and also can not be done that way. They will not be responsible for a bad engine. The truck does not run. I'm still making payments, and it looks like no one cares to do anything about it. I have called my finance company they don't care. I called the dealership that sold me this First Extended Service Corp. policy and they said they've never had any problem with them, and yet I now find them all over the internet with massive amounts of bad faith reports. Now what?
