Today I recieved a letter saying "ATTENTION: YOUR CARD HAS ARRIVED AND IS READY FOR ACTIVATION!" I am in my 20's and trying to establish credit so when I saw this I was like YES!!!!

I opened it and it said I had a $6,500 credit limit and NO interest! Too good to be true was my first thought... who would give me a person with no established credit a limit that high?

I read all the terms and kept seeing "our catalog." Naturally I wanted to know what was in this catalog.

When I went to www.ccs.com I got a skater website. So I thought maybe the adress they wanted had already been taken. I went to yahoo and did a search on ccs. "Did you mean ccs First National Card?" appeared at the top of the screen. That was what I meant so I clicked it and FRAUD, DON'T ACCTIVATE, and other posts from this site came up on the search.

Thank you to everyone that posted your stories. Without them I would have fallen for this.

I read a lot of the posts trying to figure out what I should do with the card and letter, and if there was anyone I could report this to so that these thieves can be stopped before more people fall for this scam!

I called the Las Vegas Better Bussiness Bureau **(702) 320-4500** They really didn't do very much. They told me that many complaints have been made against this company. So I said well I want to add another. The lady told me to go to **www.vegas.bbb.org** to email a complaint.

I asked her who else could I file a complaint with? She refered me to the FTC **(877)382-4357** These people were ALOT more helpful!! The man took my complaint right then on the phone, and told me that with a group of complaints they would be able to take action. I asked him who else I could report this to.

He told me to take the whole letter, evelope, and card I recieved to the post office and say that I wanted to make a report with the Postal Inspector. By sending these they are commiting Mail Fraud, which is a felony! With every letter turned in that is one felony against them.

If you recieve one of these I reccomend calling the numbers above and taking this letter to the post office. With as many of these turned in as possible we can put a stop to this!!

I want to thank everyone here for all the really good info.

My husband and I were never taught anything about credit or credit scores or anything. We learned the hard way and are trying to get get things straightened out so that we can get a house and our life on course.

We received a membership card for CCS in the mail and we were thinking about going for it. We were told that to up my husbands credit was to get a credit line that reports to the credit bureaus so we thought this would be good for us and thanks to this website and all the experiences I can fell good about shredding this junk.

Thank you so much.
