On June 17th, 2009, our company agreed to enlist the services of a search engine placement company......First Rank Global aka Page Rank Global regarding the placement of our website.  The Agreement guaranteed placement in your company specific category on Googel within the top 3 positions.

This never happened..After three days of not seeing our website ranked,  and informing our represdentative a Mr. Ken Starr of the situation....Mr. Starr stated that the reason we could not see the website, was that it was not able to be viewed from the original computer....that the website must be viewed from a different IP address...give me a break....we tried every other computer in our offices and then at home and friends computers as well..the ranking on Google was not visible on any computer...regardless of IP address....

On June 25th, After giving Mr. Starr yet a few more days to fix everything and make it visible on any IP address, still the ranking was not there.........

A refund request was faxed to First Rank Global on 6/30 and it was mysteriously never received by the company even though we had confirmation at our office....this resulted in a supposedly self renewing agreement and another $1,900.00 down the drain ......

If you are looking for search engine placement, RUN THE OTHER WAY.........the company does not deliver, misleads their clients and will say anything to get paid........ Being a Canadian company, it would not even be worthwhile to pursue legal action against them.........Companies do yourself a favor keep looking for a legitimate company......

Pay-Per-Click versus Organic

AUTHOR: First Rank Global - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 13, 2010

"Adam" from "Plano" you really should think before typing rather than just spewing venom across the page.

Why would a company pay to advertise it's actual name?

If a potential client types in your company name on Google and it is not on the first page or near the top then you may want to consider 'paid search marketing' (also know as pay-per-click advertising).  This is when you will see your company name and ad appear at the top or on the right hand side of Google in the 'sponsorship' area.

In the case of First Rank Global, when our company name is typed into Google it does appear at the top organically (by the way, First Rank Global offers Search Engine Optimization which is how you make your web site appear at the top organically).  So, we don't advertise our site at the top of Google using the sponsorship method because we are there organically (yes, "Adam" we do offer more services than just paid search marketing as our website states).  This is just one of the many considerations regarding search engine marketing.  Some of the questions that we ask our prospective clients are;

How did your existing clients find you?  Who do you want as your clients (demographics)?  Are your potential clients computer-savvy and do they use search engines?  Are you trying to promote your products and services or your company name?

"Adam" from "Plano" there are many things to consider.  The fact that First Rank Global does not pay to advertise our actual company name simply means that we are not wasting money on unnecessary advertising.  We prefer to save money and pass on those savings to our clients.

THIS IS A SCAM

AUTHOR: Adam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, April 09, 2010

The users posting to trust this company are agents of the company, trying their hardest to keep their reputation so they can further exploit it.

The Proof:
If you go to www.google.com and type in "First Rank Global" you will notice two things.

First, they are not listed under the paid listings for their own search.  If they are a company that sells this service to customers then why can they not provide it for themselves?

Second, the top 3 links on Google for this search will include this website, ripoffreport.com.  Name a single legitimate company who also has this problem? Much less one who claims to understand the workings of search engines.

----

For those of you looking for more technical details on how the scam works:

The way the scam works is that they will set you up with a demo and have you show up for your search terms on the top of the paid listings.  They will claim that these are national listings with a large number of visitors.  In reality they are local only, and very bad for your domain name.  They are exploiting a piece of Google which I can't divulge, but after a few days Google catches this exploit and blacklists your domain from the advertising area.

Please save yourself.   DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, IT IS A SCAM.

Credit Card Company rules IN FAVOR of First Rank Global

AUTHOR: First Rank Global - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Jeff (Delray Beach Florida) seems to have conveniently 'forgotten' to mention some very important facts about this case when he wrote his rather colorful ripoff Report.

1. He did take this case up with his credit card company.
2. His credit card company did a full investigation of this case.
3. First Rank Global provided his credit card company with considerable proof that First Rank Global fulfilled the requirements of the signed contract.
4. His credit card company ruled in favor of First Rank Global and NOT Jeff.
5. It seems that Jeff may be upset because he did NOT comply with the signed agreement, distorted the facts to his credit card company and HE got caught.

First Rank Global does not enter into an agreement with a client unless there is a signed contract.  In doing so, both parties have a very clear understanding of the services to be provided and the obligations.  The signed contract also protects both parties should a disagreement occur.  Unfortunately, not every client can be bothered to read or follow the contract and some feel that they have the right to do whatever they want regardless of the signed contract.

Please contact First Rank Global directly should you have any questions and we will be happy to assist you.

Just want a refund and a little Customer Service

AUTHOR: Jeff - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 24, 2009

I am glad to read that a client had a good experience with First Rank Global and I am sure that many others have as well. I am only relating to my companys experience with their firm.   I have worked with a number of companies over the past 8 years in Website ranking and all have performed well , this includes Ideal Positions and Great Media Technology both of  California, these are  companies that can produce results.

Perhaps I just had a rogue representative in  Ken Starr or possibly he was new to the industry and new to a sales position. I hope that is the case. My experience was not good with First Rank Global and I passed that onwith facts that can be backed up.  I never received the positioning I was quoted, did not receive call backs from my Sales Rep when I went looking for answers and was charged for services I did not receive. And then as I was expressing my concern for the services, my credit card was hit again for another months charge.

I will not resort to slander as the comments from a Hallandale who lowered themselves to this level.claiming that they were told I am a Rip Off Artist and Con Man...  That is called hearsay and if you have facts, I would like to see them.   We can back up our concerns. But I do not have time to get into a pissing match with someone from First Rank who is acting as a customer.

I deal in facts.I did not receive the services I contracted for and wanted my money back. Very simple. The majority of reputable business would honor that requestI have operated a not for profit 501c3 corporation for 8 years and I have no unsatisfied concerns with the Better Business Bureau during my time in business. If a client has a problem it is solved and if that resolution is to include a refund .not a problem the money is refunded. Every business has its issues, but the good ones solve themnot sweep  them under the rug.

I challenge First Rank to show me a Better Business Bureau Record with no unsatisfied concerns..I know they can not, because  our concern went unanswered with the Better Business Bureau in their province.

If First Rank was as good at positioning as they promised, and once again I can only attest from my negative experience, but I am sure they have many happy clients. they would know how to position my complaint filed with the Rip Off Report on the second or third page of Google.

I do not like to resort to placing people on the Rip Off report, but I was left with no choice as my calls to them went unreturned, as did the BBB concern.  All I am asking for is to make a client happy, this is basic customer service in fact, if they would just refund me half of what was paid, they would have a satisfied client.

Yeah, I don't buy it

AUTHOR: SherwoodJo - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, December 21, 2009

While this consumer may have a valid claim, my experiences with First Rank are of an entirely different -- and dramatically superior -- variety.

I own a company that builds armor and other medieval implements for the sophisticated enthusiast.  However, with the down-turned market and a lack of interest/awareness, my business was on the brink of having to be closed when I found First Rank.  They cold called me -- usually a put-off, but their operators were coherent, kind, and helpful -- and put me in touch with an authorized adwords salesperson.

I like a lot of things about this program.  They are up-front, they explain the "catches" right away (ie - you can try it for a month, but you need to give them notice within two weeks of the automatic rebilling for them to cancel) and they are HONEST.  I'm sorry, Mr. Florida Guy, but your sour grapes sound to me like you weren't listening to the pitch.

Long story short, my sales didn't go off the charts but they did increase dramatically enough to not only pay for the ads but to keep me in business.  I've been contacted by consumers from San Francisco to El Paso to Tampa Bay, Florida, and I've absolutely seen an upturn of business thanks to First Rank.  I've even recommended the service to friends -- some of whom stuck with it only for a month or two, others who are still benefiting from the service.

I don't know the deal behind this guy in Florida, but it sounds like sour grapes to me.  It's really a sad story when a good company fails to please an impossible client, only to see their reputation tarnished and slandered across the world wide net.  I dunno, maybe it's valid, but weighing the experiences of myself and my friends against this rip off reporter, I have to lean on it being completely wrong... to the point where I was inspired into joining this service to provide a balance of opinion.
