First Select was or is a bank, They gave me and my wife a C/C. We both had a C/C limit of 500.00 dollars.

In my case which has been settled, but is still relevant, I had about 360.00 charged up on this card, and then got behind in my bills. I made 2 late payments, and on the second late payment they reduced my C/C limit form 500.00 to 300.00, which automatically gave me overlimti charges, ontop of my late charges. So in that particular time in my life i could not recover.

I let it go to collections. 1 year later i owed First Select AKA Credigy AKA Stewart and Associates over 1,000.00 dollars. I cursed and did all the normal stuff that someone that was getting the shaft would do.

I let it go even longer, about another year, the amount was then over 2,000.00 on a 360.00 charge, ridiculous huh, well anyways rather then have my credit score destroyed forever by in my opinion these money grubbing hoars, I payed it off. yes all of it. I felt so helpless.

Now to the other story, the next chapter with in my opinion these hoars. My wife as i said before had a C/C with a 500.00 limit. She had about 200.00 charged on it, and one day those relentless telmarkerters called and she fell for it, they told her that she would recieve a free 3 years subscription to some magazine and win a watch, all they had to do was verify she had a C/C, I now stupid, but she learned from her mistake.

So needless to say no watch ever came and a 260.00 charge showed up on her C/C. Of course we sent multiple correspondence and telephone calls to the First Select, Visa. Nothing. They would keep loosing the dispute paperwork. over and over again.

Well It went to collections, we were not going to pay something that we had been ripped off on. Of course that was in late 1999, we have no proof left of our correspondence, and now we set at 2,744.00 absolutely ridiculous. So how can not end up having to pay this ridiculous fradulant amount.
