Five Star Moving ripoff never showed up I had to make last minute arrangements and ended up paying over $2000 more. Dallas Texas and Georgia

Five Star gave me a quote to move my household goods. They were scheduled to show on Fri Mar 28th. Five Star asked to have my pickup date rescheduled to Sunday the 30th due a family emergency with one of the movers. I was relucant to this since I need to be moved by the 2nd for work. She said they would be there "first thing in the morning" on Sunday.

On Sat, I called to get a better time of when the movers would show. The man who answered the phone said they would be there either at 11am or 1pm on Sunday. At noon on Sunday I called to find out where the movers were and the woman who answered the phone said that they were "on the way". At 2pm I called again and was told again that they were "on the way". I told her that I would give them another 30 minutes and if they hadn't arrived I wanted to cancel with them. They never showed.

I had to make last minute arrangements and ended up paying over $2000 more. A refund of my deposit was requested; they said they'd refund it. A month later I still hadn't receved it and they said they sent it [to my old address].

I've contacted the BBB about it. Five Star's rebuttal was that my mother had called and cancelled it because she wanted to be the only load on the truck and they would refund my deposit. This is obviously a huge lie- my mother passed away over 2 yrs ago. This letter was dated a month ago and I still have not received my deposit back.
