Five Star Nissan Gives false information and purposely misleading sales tactics Warner Robins, Georgia
I recieved a "match and win" scratch off advertisement in the mail. There were five prizes listed being a best buy card, ipad, 2 walmart cards valued at $5 and $100 and a 2013 nissan versa. Well I scratched off the car. My husband told me that he has heard some bad things about the dealership and that he was sure it was a scam. He said that they would get me in there and tell me I just won the $5 walmart card. Well, I called the 800 number on the game piece and spoke with a woman named "Carnita" and she told me that it was real and that I won the car. She said, "Congratulations!! Come get your car!" Well, I told my husband and he said that he still bet it was a scam. So I called again and spoke with the same person and asked her if she was sure it was legitmate and that I could just come pick up my car and leave. She said, "Yes! It is real and there was no tricks involved." Well, I tell my husband and he still doesn't buy it so he calls and speaks with "Carnita". He asked her if it was real and she said yes again. My husband told her that he would be very upset if the company causes him to waste gas and his valuable time coming down there and not win the car. She said that I had won it and it was my car just come get it. My husband asked her again if it was the real thing and not some tricky, underhanded scam and wasting his time and she said no that it was real and there were no tricks involved.
Well, we drive all the way over there and are met by about 6 salesmen, one of whom is quick to take the lead when he sees the paper in our hand. My husband tells him the conversations we have had with "Carnita" and that we don't have time to waste. The salesmen acts if he never even heard of "Carnita" and his whole demeanor just hinted at the fact that we had just wasted our time. He is very vague and will not tell us if we had won and asked us to have a seat while he goes back to the corner of the building where some very underhanded looking people are just staring at us. He then comes back out and again he will not answer my husband when asking if we had won the car or if it was a scam. My husband then became irritated and gave him and the people in the backroom a few choice words and we left. I will never do business with that company and will tell all my friends and family that I would recommend shopping elsewhere. It would have been so bad because my husband figured it was a scam the whole time but we called not once, not twice but three times to verify that we had won and were told we had. And on top of that we told the lady we did not have the time or gas to waste on such a scam. And she lied to us saying we could just come and pick up our car that we had won!
