flatratecarpet.com came to my house to give me an estimate for some carpets and furniture to be cleaned about a week ago. They gave me a price over the phone for $90.00 for each couch (I had 3) and $40.00 for each room (I had 3), this should have totaled $390.00.
When a guy named "yoav" came to my house to do the actual cleaning he said the price would be $1,050.00, I told him the price I had gotten over the phone plus a $50.00 coupon for the cleaning which should have totaled $340.00 he started to yell and curse me saying I was cheap and if I wanted a cleaning job for all of this for $340.00 I should have rented a machine myself.
I then, about an hour later called the office and spoke to a guy named "Avi". I explained the situation to him, his reponse was "whatever the job is worth to us is what we charge". I tried to explain that I got a price over the phone he then said "listen, you want the job done or not", I immediatley hung up the phone in disbelief.
DO NOT use flat rate carpet for any of your cleaning, the are rip offs and tried to get more than double what they originally estimated.
They are rude and no one in the office cares about their customers.

Hi just a response to the previous Post.
I think you might of misunderstood. What happened with me was when I called to have my 2 Loveseats and Ottoman cleaned, i was Only given a ball park Estimate. They specifically told me that they can't give me an exact estimate because a lot of it depended on my cleaning choice and the severity of the stains I had.
They also told me that a technician needs to come out and give an estimate. They said there was no charge to me if i didn't like the price. So I said to myself it couldn't hurt. When the technician came out, the price he gave me wasn't exactly on point with the ball park Estimate But it was close. Having told it was a free estimate it let me do some shopping around and compare prices.
It turns out that Flat Rate Carpet was cheaper then all the other companies I called. I called Flat rate to come back to do the work i was given the estimate for and turns out they did a great job. No complaints here. They were on time, technician was nice and completely professional.
I definitley suggest Flat rate Carpet to anyone. I didn't use their carpet cleaning service but with my previous experience with them I will definitley use them again.
