Flexi Compras, a company found in stores such as Best Buy and Walmart, basically preys on consumers with poor   and no credit to help them finance furniture, electronics, and just about anything you can think of at a super high intrest rate of course.

My wife and I had our first dealings with Flexi Compras 3 years ago when our refrigerator died and we needed a new one ASAP. We were of course short on cash and while shopping for a new fridge at Best Buy we were offered the option of going through a company called Flexi Compras to finance a new one. Being the best option for us at the time, we filled out the application and was approved. They required us to pay a $15.00 one time application fee and we were also required to pay the first payment on the fridge by the time it was delivered to our home. No big problem there. We paid the $15.00 dollars and payed for the first 2 months on the fridge that very day. The fridge was delivered a week later(far to late to salvage the food out of our broken fridge) even though they advertise delivery within 48 hours. Anyway we now have our new fridge and everythings great until the next day when the phone calls from Flexi's collection department started rolling in. They wanted to know when they were going to get paid. My wife patienty explained that we were paid for 2 full months. She had to fax them a copy the receipt to them to prove that we were in fact paid in full for 2 months. She was told that the paperwork was all strsightened out and that it wouldn't happen again. After 2 months of recieving 2 to 3 phones calls a day from these people for the same issue that we were told was resoved, we finally told them enough was enough come and get this fridgerator out of our house.

The second time was on 8/1/2013. We are forgiving people and believe in second chances. My wife and I are both college students and we are in desperate need of a new computer. The one we have is on it's last leg and needs to be put out of it's misery. So after going to the Flexi Compras website and doing some research we decide to give Flexi a call and get the application started and go from there. The young lady who did our application was very nice and very helpful so we thought things might go a little better this time. After over an hour on the phone getting the application done we were told that she would call us right back with our approval. 24 hours later and still no phone call we decided to call Flexi back and find out what's going on with our application. We were told that we were of course approved and that the person we spoke to on the previous day just got bussy and forgot to call us back. At that point we are a little irritated, but whatever. We ask the next obvious question which was how much are we approved for? My wife and I had already done our homework and figured out what computer we needed and the few accesories we needed to go with it. We were then put on hold so that she could go check for us. She finally got back on the phone and started explaining that we would owe a $15.00 application fee, the first month payment, and a minimum $500.00 down payment. We told her hold on just a second. First, you didn't awnser the question of how much we were approved for. Second, We have no problem with the $15.00 application fee or the first month payment, but we are not paying a $500.00 down payment. It states right on your website in 2 different locations that there is no down payment needed. We were then put on hold again. When the phone was picked up again it was a rude nasty guy this time, and before we had a chance to say anything he cut us off and his exact words were "If you think I'm letting a computer walk out these doors with anything less than a $500.00 down payment you people are out of your minds". Then click, he hung the phone up on us.

First of all my wife and I did absolutely nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. both of us were pleasant, courtious, and respectful to everyone we had talked to. But the real problem I have is with their advertising. It states directly on their website in 2 different locations "NO DOWN PAYMENT". The irst right on the first page of the website. Says " No credit credit check, No down Payment, No Debt!". Then when you click on the "learn more" button below that it goes to a new page and says "

It's Easy

In order to qualify for one of our plans we just need some basic information about you, your job and three personal references. That’s it! No credit check, no down payment and best of all, no debt!

I'm sick and tired of companies using misleading advertising and misleading information to get people to fork over there personal information, trying to scam money out of people, and trying to screw people in to buy crap they don't want. It seems as if these people being allowed to print lies and tell people whatever they think they want to here. It's time these people and companies are held accountable.
