I was contacted by Alex MacLean, Sales rep with Florida Vacation Rentals by Owners around August of 2018. He asked if I wanted to list my properties on his site. He promised me that if I was not satisfied that they would refund my money.

I paid the company $1,556.00 on August 9th 2018. I paid through PayPal directly from my bank account.  I am an integrated property manager and I use KIGO, and was marketing strictly on VRBO and airbnb.  He promised we could integrate their system with Kigo.  This took them months to even get that working correctly (nightmare!!!).

After a few more months I noticed that I had not received one single lead from them. I reached out to Alex on 10/22/18, 10/24/18.  He told me a manager would be in touch.  His manager assured me they were "tweaking" their site and I should receive leads soon and if I didn't they would refund my money.

Still no leads...so on 12/20/18 I reached out again asking for my money back, then again on 1/3/19, 1/28/19, 2/1/19, and 2/14/19.  I finally called after no one responded to me and they said there is no way they can refund my money.  

At this point I told them, I just went onto their site and typed in my travel destination, which is Clearwater or Belleair Beach area and only 2 of my 13 rentals even populated on their site.  So my rentals are not even being marketed on their site!  He mumbled to me and told me I was crazy and my rentals were there.  I said look for yourself.

 I am entering in travel dates where my units are available and they are not appearing!!  He hung up on me.  I tried to get the money back from PayPal but I stupidly waited too long, after the 180 day period.  So I also filed a complaint with my bank.  I emailed one more time today and filed a complaint with the BBB and any other site that I could.  

Still nothing from them. They are scam artists and I am sure other people are being scammed by them as well.  I just hope this will help other property management companies when making decisions regarding marketing channels.
