Owner of a 2003 Ford Focus, key will not turn ignition. This is a problem that Ford is aware of and have had thousands of complaints from. However they have failed to acknowledge that there is defect. The ignition is manufactured using "soft" metal which over the course of time metal shavings thus get jammed in the ignition not allowing the key to turn. Ford claims this is not a safety hazzard! How about being stranded, unable to turn your key in an airport with small children, getting off of work late at night not being able to turn the key, stopping to get gas only to be unable to turn your key. Repair consists of a new ignition with the cost estimating between $400.00-$600.00. I think a class-action lawsuit is warranted.

Turn the steering wheel a bit and it'll unlock.
