Foto Tronix Took my money, but didn't deliver the goods. Internet

Ordered a garmin GPS on 7/1/08 and the company deducted the money from my account within 1-2 days. Oder should have been received NLT 7/16/08.

After sending a few email inquiries, I received an email from "Jane" of Foto-tronix stating my order was "lost in transit" and they filed a claim with UPS.

The email stated I could order a newer model GPS for more money or I could keep my order the same; however, the item I ordered was on backorder. I checked their website which advertised they had 33 in stock.

I advised them I wanted to keep the model I ordered and wanted them to upgarde the shipping to next day air, which they stated they would do. The backordered item was due in their store on 7/25/08 and they sent me an updated UPS tracking number.

As of 7/28/08, my item has not shipped. There is no information on the UPS website indicating my item has shipped and in spite of sending some nasty emails, they won't respond.

Something needs to be done with this shady company. I have read other reviews about them selling refurbished GPS units as new, as well as, other corrupt business practices. This company may be located in New York. There is no business address or phone number on their website.

I intend to file a complaint with the BBB in New York, if that's where they are located. Any help in this matter is appreciated.
