The Highwood Police Department Accident Report, clearly states that the Founders Insurance insured was at fault. Since my car door would not lock due to the damage sustained, I had my car repaired paid with my own funds on August 3, 2013. I am not pursuing a claim with my own insurance company since I am concerned about non-renewal. According to Illinois Insurance Laws, (25 ILCS 5/143.23a) the insurance must communicate with you within 21 business days of the loss, as of 8/12/2013 it is 21 business days without contact from Founders Insurance.
