I went into this dealership to have my Tire warning light checked as this was the third time it has come on in the past 9 months. My service advisor by the name of Darin Dupre said that it might be a sensor that has gone bad and the charge to check that out would cost me $70.00. One would think that a sensor would be covered under ones warranty coverage as thta is an electrical part. I said no. Just to check as to why the light was coming on. Come to find out about 10 minutes later, i had a wood screw in my tire and it needed to be repaired. I asked for the amount to repair the tire and he quoted me a price of $24.95 of which seemed quite high to me.
It was his Arrogance Way of trying to justify there cost that really got to me. Your paying for this beautiful dealership, the training of the tech working on your car and the time needed to repair the tire. ONE - it didn't take 10 minutes to repair the tire with a patch. TWO - i told him that the cost of a tire repair with a patch regardless of where it is done, use to be a $7.50 charge. He couldn't care more. Third - when you really think about this, a new tire cost is about one-third of what i was charged for this repair. While it is a nice dealership and i am a regular customer while my car is under warrany, one would think that customer service of a reasonable cost would be much needed here that a rip-off amount. ANYONE ELSE AGREE???

You reversed your statement. You initially wrote, “a new tire cost is about one-third of what i was charged for this repair” but you should have written, ‘The repair cost was about one-third of the cost of a new tire’.
“prices have gone way too high for a 10 minute repair”

A new tire cost for my car is about 75.00. so one third of that is 25.00 of which was close to the tire repair cost that i was charged for a patch repair. Regardless of how new a dealership is or how much it costs to train a tech to repair a tire, prices have gone way too high for a 10 minute repair. 7.50 is was it use to be for a patch repair.

A rate increase is not a rip-off.
“when you really think about this, a new tire cost is about one-third of what i was charged for this repair.”
Really? Your new tires cost only $8 each?
