I signed up for a payday loan once. Well I didn't get it and several months past I didn't think anything of it anymore. Several months later I was looking at my bank statement and I saw a check went thru. I don't ever write checks. So I clicked on it and it said FREEDOM SUBSCRIPTIONS and it was taken out for 49.95. On the check was my SSN and all other personal info like address, phone number. I was told this was the payday loan I applyed for but since these months had went by I forgot all about it.

Thank goodness it didn't over draw my account because I had no idea what this was for. I called the number given on the check noone from their "customer service" answered. They said they'd call me back never did.

So I contacted my bank, National City, and they said I could file for check fraud and check signature fraud and get the money back! Make sure you catch this if it happens to you. Oh and don't wait to long or you bank can't refund you. I think its 60 days.

Good luck to everyone that this has happened to. I hope whoever is responsible for this is caught!

FREEDOM SUBSCRIPTION IS A SCAM! IF THERES A CHECK FOR 49.95 TAKEN OUT OF YOUR CHECKINGS ACCOUNT CONTACT YOUR BANK RIGHT AWAY.

I later found out that when you apply for a payday loan sometimes you get unlucky and things like this happen. Thank goodness it didn't over draw my account because I had no idea what this was for. I called the number given on the check no one from their "customer service" answered.

So I contacted my bank, National City, and they had me file a dispute. It was really simple actually. They made me fill out some papers and the lady who was helping me at the bank checked out their "website". Obviously if you've tried to get on it you have realized it's a fake. So she said that she had to send the paperwork into the state and from there they would take care of it. I live in Pennsylvania. They said it would be 10 days and I would get a refund.

I was also told to contact the better business bureau to report this company. They said if I don't do something about it then other people will keep getting ripped off by them. So I went online and filed a complaint with them. So hopefully the BBB will shut this place down and stop them from stealing other peoples money!

Good luck to everyone. Hope this helped.
