Friendly Ford Dishonest service dept. Springfield, Missouri

Since purchasing it new, I brought my van to them for any service.  I caught them several times telling me I needed unnecessary repairs but nothing major.  They also damaged the interior trim on one oil change.  Once they sold me their largest battery and installed a smaller one, which I made them change, etc. 

The final straw was when I had my cooling system flushed.  The mechanic flooded the engine compartment, and upon returning the van to me it had a bad miss.  They told me to drive it a while to dry out the plugs.  I only went a few miles as the engine light came on.  I took it back, and they dried out the plugs with coils on top and it worked okay for 2 months.  Then one of the coils failed and they had to replace it.  I argued that it was due to the flooding, but they refused to admit it.  It cost an additional $325 in repairs. 

They have some very dishonest service writers, some are very good.  Good luck getting the right one.
