On August 25, 2004, I purchased the Frontline Phonics reading program for my child. The product cost $249.95 and came with a 60 day money back guarantee. After using the Frontline Phonics program for 5 weeks,I decided that this was not the right reading program for my child and proceeded to request a refund.

I called the only phone number the company gives its customers, 1-800-YES-READ, and left message after message trying to get someone to call me back with a return authorization number(you can't return the product without one). When no one returned my phone messages, I began e-mailing the customer service dept.

After 4 days, someone finally e-mailed me a return authorization number and very specific instructions for returning the package. They also let me know that it could take up to 60 days from the date they received the package back for my American Express to be credited the $249.95.

I followed their instructions to the letter, returned the package, and received confirmation from UPS that the package had been delivered and signed for, by Miles in receiving, on October 18th 2004.

After 2 months, I still hadn't received my money back. I began calling and e-mailing once again. I was finally contacted by Mr. John Lands on December 17th 2004. He claimed to be one of the owners of Frontline Phonics. He apologized for the mistake they had made and promised me I would have my money back within 72 hours.

It's now January 6th 2005, 20 days since my conversation with Mr. Lands and almost 3 months since I returned the program. I haven't gotten any money back. I can't get anyone to return my phone calls or e-mails and they have both my money and their product back.
