This letter is to document the sequence of events regarding my vehicle repairs. I purchased my vehicle from Airport Chevrolet on May 25, 2006. The vehicle I purchased was a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier with 40,030 miles and I also purchased Gold Plus extended warranty thru Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc.

On July 11, 2006 I noticed it was taking a lot for the car to get up to speed, I took the car the following day to the service center at Airport Chevrolet and met with Dennis Dingler the service representative on duty. I explained to Dennis what issues I was experiencing with the car and that I had an extended warranty that covered car rentals for repairs. At that time we contacted the rental company, Enterprise-College Park, who came to pick me up and take me to their business. My sales representative at Enterprise name was Samba. He explained that they did not need a credit card because the service center had already given them a purchase number for the rental. I received a 2006 Chevy Silverado on July 12, 2006.

The following day, July 13, 2006 I received a call from Dennis saying that the car was having transmission issues and the warranty company would have to send a inspector out to look at the car. The next day July 14, 2006 Dennis contacted me and told me the inspector had found an external crack in the transmission and was not going to cover the damages or the car rental. I immediately contacted the warranty company and spoke to a representative there by the name of Clay. He explained to me that because it was an external crack they could not cover the damages or the rental. He further stated that there report shows the vehicle was in a collision where head gaskets where replaced when the vehicle had 40,037. I explained to him that was impossible because I had purchased the car with 40,030 miles and at this point had it less than 60 days. He agreed but said that there was not anything he could do for me. I requested a copy of the inspectors report and he said they would mail it to me within 2-4 weeks.

On July 15, 2006 a witness and I went to the office of General Sales Manager- James Jackson at Airport Chevrolet. I explained the situation to him and he asked that I give him a day so he could do some further investigation. I told him that was only fair and I would contact him that following Monday. When I contacted him on Monday July17, 2006 we agreed that I would meet him at his office that evening. When I sat and spoke to Mr. Jackson he had a Carfax report pulled for the vehicle. The report did not show any damages or collisions for the vehicle. He also said that he believed the warranty company was responsible and he would do everything to try and accommodate me. Before I left he explained that he was due for vacation on July 19th and would like to have this matter under control before he left. I actually left his office feeling like everything would be taken care of fairly and swiftly. I contacted Mr. Jackson the following afternoon to see if he had made any progress. He stated that he still had not come up with any new information he would continue to work on it. If for any reason he could not get any information this day he would pass it on to Kenneth Johnson who would be handling his affairs while he was away. When I called and spoke to Kenneth Johnson I might as well have talked to a customer service representative. He had no idea of my situation/concerns. He took my information said he would call me back and I have not heard from him since.

Dennis Dingler contacted me on Friday July 28, 2006 and told me I could come and get my vehicle. He said they repaired the crack by welding it together. He said that I did not need the deductible they were treating it as a repair but I would have to pay for the car rental. I was furious by this time; I had been given the run around from several different people. Presently I have a car rental for almost 4 weeks and spent approximately $180.00 in unnecessary gas. I believe the things I am asking for are fair and just. I would like to have my car replaced for the NADA retail value, as this would be considered an even trade or swap as suggested by Mr. Jackson. I also would like my car rental paid for. If I had not received a faulty vehicle then the rental would have been paid for without question. I would like to have my gas for the usage of the rental reimbursed.

When I purchased my vehicle I had spent time checking other dealerships. I wanted to make sure that I purchased my vehicle from a dealership I was comfortable doing business with and also have a knowledgeable sales team. Airport Chevrolet was very accommodating and assured me that they valued my business. During this whole ordeal I have realized that I was just a car sale.I found out during my research that there are odometer reading issues. There were collison damage and information that my car was used as a rental car before I bought it.
