G4s Wackenhut Security, Larry Pablo, General Manager, is dishonest Phoenix Arizona

I worked for the Phoenix Wackenhut office for four years. I started as an entry level Officer in 2003 and quickly advanced in rank and responsibilty as a Lieutenant and Site Supervisor, and eventually to Captain and Area Manager.

Unfortunately, in 2008 several of the senior officials for the Phoenix office retired, (after years of dedicated service). The new Operations Manager was Paul Nagy and in June 2006 the new General Manager for this branch became Larry Pablo.

I had resigned my position as Area Manager and had been working as an armed guard in the field for over a year. I was made aware of the leadership changes in the office when they occurred, but for the rest of 2008 and the first part of 2009 I never had any dealings whatsoever with either Larry Pablo or Paul Nagy. This fact alone was in sharp contrast to the way things had been prior to their arrival. The old managers were involved with their employees, they interacted with them, knew them. In fact, it always amazed me that I could go months without going to the office, but when I walked in Col. Gomez remembered the smallest most insignificant details of my life. When you talked to him you got the definite impression that he truly cared about you, your family, and your success in the company.

But those days are gone. The first interaction I had with any of the new management was a threatening email from Nagy, threatening termination, requesting my resignation, and accusing me of things that I had nothing to do with. Nagy had gone off half-cocked acting on heresay and an uninformed understanding of the complete situation.

The situation was further exacerbated when Larry Pablo got involved, not to get to the truth, but to defend Nagy by all means necessary. My one and only meeting with Pablo was a farce. One bald-faced lie after another, twisting and manipulating evidence, documents, comments, quotes, and sequences until the truth was completely obliterated.

I left the company. I maintained I was terminated, Larry Pablo originally stated that I quit voluntarily. I filed for and received unemployment.

Then Larry Pablo filed an appeal with the unemployment department based on new twisting and contorting of the facts. The papers I received still stated that I quit, although Pablo said I was terminated during the hearing.

The upshot of the whole ordeal is that in my forty-nine years on earth, I have never had any personal dealings with any individual so calously dishonest. The fact that he is the General Manager of a local business is beyond believable to me. During the hearing, my jaw was on the floor at the complete, utter, lies spewing from this man's mouth.

I know that lying and dishonesty in the professional business community is not a shock to anyone. It's become expected. Kind of how we just take it for granted that elected officials are liars. It's normal, therefore, it's okay. We accept it.

I don't. I read about scumbag liars everyday in the news. I guess because it's happening to people I don't know I'm oblivious to it. But to be confronted by it up close and personal was a real eye opening experience.

I'm filing this report just as a way to vent, and to hopefully prevent one other person from becoming a victim of Larry Pablos dishonest character.
