All gold in WoW can be acquired in legal way only - by farming items and selling them on AH or to NPC's. There is no such thing as "Stolen Gold". You can just brake GAME Terms and Conditions - thats it. Unless of course you hack into other account in REAL life and post all gold to your account on same server.

@Sparky: As clearly stated in the Terms of use, the gold is the sole property of BLIZZARD! You agree to the terms when you play the game, so you KNOW that the gold is stolen.

WoW Gold can't leave Blizzard server, because its impossible. It remains Blizzard's property even when it sits in gold-farmers bag (which is also property of Blizzard). Gold can only change accounts and rewarding somebody in real life for time spend in real life collecting it doesn't make things "stolen".

Blizzard already collected more than 1400 from me (WoW subscription, account gifts to other people, etc) and I don't mind, since it was great entertainment. Do I feel guilty when buying small amount of gold from another player (it could be friend or guild member) in order to skip boredom once per 3 years? A little, because I know that some players will be at temp disadvantage (In real life it would be like paying extra for air line ticket to skip the queue). I know that Blizzard probably will gain a chance to get another 700 during next 3 years and this makes me feel better.

But GameVsPlayer.com is completely different matter. The are committing REAL crime because they are collecting REAL money without intention to deliver promised service. They are braking more that Game Terms and Conditions.

This post reminds me of people that call the cops to complain that their drug dealer scammed them in a drug deal.  Then get upset at the cops when they don't get them their money back.

The best way to avoid this is to not put yourself in this situation in the first place.  But if you do then don't complain about someone cheating you when you are trying to cheat someone else.

As clearly stated in the Terms of use, the gold is the sole property of BLIZZARD! You agree to the terms when you play the game, so you KNOW that the gold is stolen and you still attempt to buy it? That is a crime, and since the gold sellers are most likely based out of China or some 3rd world country, you are the one subject to U.S. legal action and reprimand. The best thing you could do is to stop CHEATING the game and stop breaking the law.... no ripoff here.

Don't expect ethical behavior from a company whose entire business model is based on cheating at a stupid video game.

Bought 10K WoW gold. Got silent treatment. Wrote email and asked whats wrong. Got reply that they can't deliver goods because they need extra information: my MSN, Skype account, mobile (I've provided it already in first form) and Home phone number. This requirement is completely unreasonable bull**t, since I've paid from VERIFIED PayPal account. I refused to give more information to scammers, so I've suggested refund. They refused.

You are not getting it. There is a posibility that I can loose my account because only Game Terms and Conditions are affected. But these scammers brake Federal Law (not some Blizzard's Terms and Condition) since selling goods and services for real money with no intention to deliver counts as an Act of Theft. These scammers are aiming at real fine and time in prison.

Why don't you go complain to Blizzard, they're the ones who own the gold in the first place. Go tell them exactly what happened and see what they say. Oh and please update us on the response you get.... I'm MOST interested to see how enthused they are to help you.

When you purchase something used to CHEAT a game and other players..you should probably investigate a little before submitting payment. There are no shortages of reports against these scammers going as far back as 2009.

I though the intent of this game was to "earn" gold? Looks like in your attempt to cheat other players and scam the game and take the easy way out..you learned a valuable lesson..so all is not lost.

And don't expect PayPal to do anything either. The buyer protection plan only covers "tangible" goods. Unless this gamesvplayer scam site was selling you real gold..I doubt W.O.W. gold is considered a tangible good.

So you are actually smart to not give this scam company any personal information...but you did use lack of good judgment to send them any funds in the first place.

I can say it is good that you posted this if it was an attempt to warn others..unfortunately some will investigate after they get suckered, and not do the wiser which would be to investigate before they get scammed.

It is not to surprising their website states that only Western Union is accepted for larger orders.
