This was deceptive sales tactics.  Through an online referral (along with Dr. Oz video) and testimony, I ordered a trial of Garcinia, which looked like a natural vitamin supplement. I did not order the suggested cleansing product. Garcinia had testimonial which may have simply been created to look like a blog. Not sure.

I received the product via mail, and a mini diet plan pamphlet, no invocing detailing membership or future billing.

About 20 days after my initial charge of "trial" 4.95, another charge of 89.95 came through out of my bank account, I noticed it immediately. I contacted my bank - here is the catch, if you have ever done legitimate business (say the $4.95, it is not fraud, just a disputed charge). I contacted Garcinia in Savannah GA, and the woman said the 89.95 was not for additional pills/vitimins, but that my "trial" was over, and since I didn't cancel I was enrolled and this was the cost for the FIRST trial bottle already shipped. She tried to get me to keep my "membership" and just reduce what I paid. I said no way - this is misrepresenting a product, I don't want anything to do with it.

I had not opened the bottle at all, so they gave me a Return Merchandise Auhorization number over the phone- sent me an email with font about 7point font stating my membership was cancelled, I had to blow it up on a word document simply to read it. I taped the email showing the cancellation to the bottle and included the RMA number on the letter along with the RMA number on the USPS Box with a tracker.

I received my 89.95 back via EFT after about 10 days. I had already cancelled my credit/debt card account just in case. (Although the bank advised me that it might still possible for them to take more money in the future - not exactly sure how this part works - so I will be watching for this)

I was disconnected more than one time when I called in to see if my return had been processed, however in the end I did get the unauthorized amount back, I didn't use the product at all - honestly I had hoped it was good, and would have purchased more if it was, I could have been a good customer. I lost about 2 hours of time, the initial $4.95, about $6.00 to ship back, gas to the post office.

It was deceptive, but I'm glad I got my unauthorized charge of $89 back. So if you follow the steps you might be able to get your money back - the fact I hadn't opened the product is a factor here.

The producted basically appeared to be a coffee bean extract.

I also did some more research, and found that others have had similar experience, maybe not getting refunds. Also that Dr. Oz does not endorse this company in anyway, and that they have miss-used his name.
