I researched my trade in value and am well aware of the trade in dollar value.
I used carsdirect.com buying service and I was contacted by gary yeamans ford very quickly.
I assumed they had the vehicle I built on the carsdirect.com website there. When approached by the salesman given this job, he asked about my trade in. It was a 1 year old Nissan Sentra in perfect condition by anyone's standards that had 7000 milles on it. Not one mark or scratch on it and the interior was like new....and smelled that way too.
The KBB trade in value was $11,500 and there was a similar car in their used car lot for $13,900. They offered me $9500 which was KBB pricing for that car in Fair condition. After all this they did not have the truck that I priced out and they told me they had to get the truck from another dealer 65 miles away and that the price was way under what was possible. Cars Direct is supposed to be a fast and easy way to buy cars and no haggling. Their price for my requested vehicle was $100 over retail sticker price plus their $500 additional dealer fee, less the rebates.....and that is garbage. I said no thanks and I knew what dealer had the vehicle and got the price I wanted and a fair trade in value with no games and nonsense. Ocala Ford was the dealer.
I filed a complaint with carsdirect.com.
If they didn't have the truck and would not honor the price why put me though all this crap????
They claim being a volume dealer but a small town dealer beat up on their price. The vehicle I wanted was a low demand Ford Ranger.

What?

I would just like to point out that this report was misfiled. Carsdirect.com provides a lead generation service--they don't sell cars. They have zero control over the words that come out of a sales associates mouth at a car dealership.

Grievances of this nature belong with Ocala Ford, not Carsdirect. Carsdirect gave you the low price they thought you should pay, it isn't their fault Ocala Ford didn't honor that price. Further, Ocala Ford is not bound to Carsdirect when it comes to their terms of sale.

I invite you to read the "Terms and Conditions" on Carsdirect.com. It's easy, just enter your zip code.
