This site sells motorized bicycle parts.  On May 31st, 2018 I ordered a 4 stroke carburater. Getting through on the phone is a pain.  Count on LONG hold times... but I managed to get through.  Asked about which carburater would fit my motor, the guy gave me a listing, I ordered the part.

About a week later, still no notice it's been shipped.  (Most places will ship at least witnin a few business days.)   Tried to contact them.   Their phone plays nice classical music but no one ever picks up.   45 min listening to hold music I gave up.   Live chat is never available.  Email.... a few of those bounced, "mailbox full." 

BUT I kept trying.  I usually get a notice it's been shipped within a few days of any online order.  I kept trying email to sales.  One got through and I was told, in a rather snippy way, that there was a holiday, and shipping takes 5-7 days.... yea well, I ship stuff and buy stuff through the internet all the time.  It may take 5-7 days to get here, it does NOT take that long to get it in the mail.  I said just cancel the order.  I HAVE an email from them confirming, no problem I'll let the right department know.  Thought I was done.  Found my part on another site, ordered.  And wow, it was marked shipped the very next day.  Go figure.

 

On June 6, I got a notice "your shipment has been  updated" along with a tracking number.  WTH? At this point the one I ordered elsewhere was marked for delivery the next day.  (Actually came on the 7th, installed, and I went for a ride.)

Now I used my credit card through pay pal.   Logged into pay pal, not yet processed.  Logged into my credit card, not there at all.

TRIED the tracking number they provided and the item had not been dropped off yet.  No tracking information available yet.  So NOT shipped.

 

I then contacted pay pal to open a dispute.  Lets be sure this does NOT go through.  Pay pal looked at the tracking and confirmed it had not been shipped, confirmed that the charge had not gone through, and would open a case.

(Yea well.... paypal outsourced to India now, I may be writing another review about them soon.  Nothing got filed.)

 

Next day... and actually a day AFTER my other carb showed up, guess what came in the mail?

Now my credit card HAS been charged.

And paypal?  NO dispute was on file and just getting through to a human over there is virtually impossible now.  Literally hours wasted waiting for call backs and sitting on hold.

 

I actually have the email where this company confirmed they would cancel this item.  Before it ships.   Took a screen shot of that and sent it to gasbike.   Now I'm suppose to eat the cost of shipping it to me AND my cost to return it?  In order to get a lousy 29.00 back?   No way!

 

I've been on the phone with paypal (in India no less) all day today.   Took several hours of sitting on hold and going through one tier after another explaining the whole thing over and over but finally I have a legit dispute filed.   Had the guy give me the dispute number so I could write it down.  (Anyone reading this, do that first.  Get any dispute numbers over the phone before India drops the ball.) 

So Paypal said they will contact the seller and hopefully within 11 days I'll get my money back.  And if the seller does not respond pay pal will reverse the charges and I can just keep the item.  (Honest I don't care about keeping the item.  It never should have been shipped after I canceled and they confirmed it was canceled.  I'll send it back at their expense.  My time and gas to get to the PO but that's ok.)

Note I already got hold of the seller and be it a bit angry now, said I would not mind returning said item. EMAIL me a pre paid return slip and I'll send it back.   To which they went on about how only orders over 50.00 are free shipping.    No mention of returning this item that was canceled and confirmed canceled BEFORE THEY SHIPPED IT! 

 

I want my money back.   Hopefully paypal will do their jobs.  NEVER AGAIN will I buy ANYTHING from gasbike.net
