I've NOW read many different blogs pertaining to this company and I am blown away with the familiarity of most all of them. Let me first start out by adding some new names to the list of employees to beware of: Rose or Rosa Zuniga, Jessica and Jeff King. The initial agreement states that you are responsible for a portion of the retainer fee and the balance "when funds are granted". After I gave them this initial amount ($1500, the reduced it), I was contacted for a phone interview, then a second phone interview that went a little more in dept and then a final call that assured me that my business was more than eligible for funds, possibly exceeding the amount that I needed. I was told by Jeff King that I should have an answer within a few days.

Sure enough, a few days later, he called and said that he had secured the funds from only two foundations, but in order to secure the man hours for my extensive profile and budget that THEY would fabricate (300-500 pages), I would need to send an additional $5000 over and above the remaining amount I owed from our initial contract. He told me that he could disregard the initial balance if I paid this $5000. I told him, I didn't have it..he said that's okay, I just want you to get these funds, I can arrange for you to be financed for half of the $5000 and then the balance would be due once the funds are granted. I told him what if I can't pay you the $2500, he says just sign the new contract I faxed over and we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Needless to say, I will not be crossing that bridge.

The new contract states that there is a possibilty that additional funds may be needed, I do not intend on giving GB Funding anymore of my money because I was very clear in the beginning when I asked if there were any additional fees and if this was the total amount they would be asking for. I cannot not afford to continue sending them more money with no TANGIBLE results.

misconceptions you MAY have had ?

AUTHOR: Tallon41 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 13, 2009

dfw stated his case. Either there WERE misconceptions or there were not, and either your conversation with the President cleared them up, or it did not....there IS no "may".

This choice of wording in dfw's last post would therefore serve to indicate that possibly he\she did not write it.

questions: Did he finally then sign the "new contract" in the previous post ?

Did he\she give them more money after stating "...I do not intend on giving GB Funding anymore of my money because I was very clear in the beginning when I asked if there were any additional fees..." ?

sounds more like dfw used the same e-mail address here that was used on GB funding's website and a GB employee, (using dfw's info,) logged-into the dfw account here and posted, (POSING as dfw,) a dubiously vague "positive resolution" of his case with them.....

That's not fishy...No, not at all.....right.

Global Business Funding

AUTHOR: Dfw - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 29, 2009

I previously posted comments regarding an encounter with Global Business Funding. After bringing my concerns to the attention of the President there at the company, they were more than happy to clarify any misconception I may have had. I am very pleased with the services they have provided and am more than satified with the results thus far!

Jeff King

AUTHOR: Bill W - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Our first significant contact with GB Funding was with Rosa Zuniga. She assured us that she would be available to answer our questions any time. After paying the initial $3750, we were no longer able to reach her. We spoke with Jeff King as well and were informed today that Rosa has been terminated. We too have concerns.

Jeff contacted us a couple of weeks after entering into the agreement with GB Funding. He had picked our file up and felt he could expedite things. He suggested our chances of receiving a grant (larger than the amount we originally requested) would be greatly increased if we created a non-profit organization to channel funds through to our small business. We have declined that option as well as an optoin for Supplemental documents that he said was crucial to the receiving of a grant. These options were to cost $9500 and $4500 respectively. We were informed by Jeff that we need to sign a letter, composed and faxed to us by GB Funding, acknowledging that we decline the options proposed. The letter further stated that if we did not sign and return fax the letter within 24 hours, it "may delay any further work on our file." We don't understand why work on our file may be delayed when our original (and only) contract with GB Funding clearly states the cost to us and their responsibilities.

Dfw, were you asked to sign a similar letter of declination?
