Last year I had Simon of GC HEATING out to service my boiler. Upon completion of service I was informed my boiler gas valve was in need of replacement and that the pilot light tube and thermocouple would also need to be changed.

After the repair, I started smelling a burning or “hot” smell every time the boiler was in use. I called GC Heating about the issue and they dismissed my concerns as normal usage, so I dropped the issue.

Last week I had another company in to service my boiler. Upon inspection it was discovered the pilot light tub assembly (previously installed by this idiot Simon) had been installed incorrectly resulting in my burner guard (that protects the flames and heat from bellowing out the front of my boiler on startup and operation) being deliberately LEFT OFF!!

Of course, when this joker collected his $890 from me, there was no mention by him, he had left my boiler in an unsafe condition and he was smart enough to take my spare parts with him.

My boiler heated all this past Winter blowing flames and heat out the front on startup. All the plastic around the wiring was burnt to a crisp, the replaced gas valve CONTAINING GAS was hot to the touch while in use and there was a defined black deposit of soot up the front of my appliance as well as heat damage.

This idiot should not have a Gas Fitters License.

I have since discovered he does not have a Business License to operate in my Municipality, no surprise there.

I highly recommend NOT using this joker
