GE Federal warranty Service Corp General Electric Service Protection Plus Exteneded Warranties not worth the paper they are printed on! Atlanta, Georgia

We purchased 9 appliances with 5 extended warranties, from GE, Sargent Appliance, Rochester, Mi which were installed in December 2005 (approximately $13000). We were not given a copy of the warranty to read prior to purchase but were told it covered everything with the exception of damage caused by mistreatment. We were also told that Sargent Appliance would coordinate any warranty work. The warranties add 4 years in addition to the manufacturer's 1 year warranty -expiration Dec 2011. We have had extremely poor response from both the warranty company General Electric Service Protection Plus and Sargent Appliance in getting warranty issues resolved. We had a compressor go out on one refridgerator (Kitchenaide) and it took 5 visits over a period of six months with three seperate repairmen to diagnose and replace the compressor.In November of 2009 I our oven door started leaking fluids between the layers of glass -GE throughSargent refused to repair the door saying that it was "cosmetic". In March of 2010 the glass in the door cracked - again the GE refused to repair. Last weekend I opened the door to my dishwasher (KitchenAide again)and heard a loud popping as the door just dropped. My assumption is that the spring inside broke. I called Sargent Appliance and once again was told that the GE would not repair the door because the spring breaking is not covered. Sargent says they do not agree with the warranty companies decision but they will do nothing to help. GE has a phone number on their contract but it sends you to a disconnected phone number. Sargent Appliance seems to be the gatekeeper and they are complicit because they sold the extended warranties as "covering everything with the exception of damage from maltreatment" and they have done nothing to help us with the warranty company.
