Purchased highly touted " Energy Saver: GE Ultra NO x 6 year warranty 40 gallon water heater, less than 3 years ago. I was manufactured on 10/06/2008.

This water heater has had pilot light ignition problems, in part because new regulations for safety made the ability to get into heater electronic panel almost impossible to access due to the new " sealing off/ safety regs".
Upon the Gas Company coming out to respond to " No Hot" water, I was informed by them that this is the worst water heater on the market and they have nothing but complaints from customers and calls to repair the Pilot light ignition problems.

GE after many calls and negotionating sent a new ignition part only, informing me that I have to pay for the installation myself. That was only 3 months ago.

Today I have no hot water. No pilot light is on.. again. .. The Gas Company comes back out, I have a perfectly balanced platform upon which my water heater sits. It is fully secured to the wall and installed with all proper piping etc ( been affirmed by Gas Company many times)

Long STory Short... The Water Heater is Cracked and leaking water. !!! It is only 3 years old and wasn't even installed till 2009. It was purchased at Home Depot and they assure me it isn't their issue. I want complete restitution for this faulty water heater !!!

ANNAGRAVATED, SINCE GENERAL ELECTRIC (NBC) IS PART OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE........

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 14, 2011

according to information available on the web it would make sense to mail a copy of your Ripoff Report to the Federal Reserve, and put it to the attention of Ben Bernanke, wouldn't you agree?

Feel free to 'Google' this- WHO OWNS THE FED?, and go to the site with the 5 charts. General Electric is listed in 'Chart 3' and General Electric (NBC) is listed in 'Chart 5', right?

So mailing a copy of your Ripoff Report to the people at the top obviously makes sense, correct? It's always best to go to the top if you're having problems, in my opinion.

Good luck to you.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
