On July 14th 2010 I was driving home from work. I started smelling something hot or burning. Within a couple of minutes my drivers side airbag deployed knocking me in to the passager seat. I went off the road but luckilly was not hurt badly. My experience with GM has been the most frustrating and dispappointing experience I have ever had.  They could car less that the vehicles defect could very well have cost me or others their lives. I haven't even been able to get reimbursed for the nearly 1000.00 I spent on a rental vehicle while the car was in the shop!  I have requested GM purchase the vehicle as well yet they ignore me so now I an interviewing attorneys. They claim the vehicle is fixed yet can not explain why the cars computer system did not show what caused the airbag to deploy or that anything had happenend for that matter. So if the computer does not show anything went wrong with the vehicle how do they know it is fixed? The wiring on the drivers side from behind the back seat all the way up to the roof burned up as well and yet the car did not blow a fuse?  The car is a death trap.  I have faxed the product allegations departement a total of 7 copies of my bank statement, the rental car receipt, contact information for the rental car company, proof of ownership, ect and yet they keep requesting the same thing over and over. It's clearly a delay in General Motors hopes that I will just give up.  Well, I will not give up until GM makes this right and am fully prepared to take this to court and contact the media as well
