General Warranty Services, Inc. Say car warrenty is about to expire but don't know your name or what kind of car you drive Salem New Hampshire

This company phoned us this morning, or I should say a computer phoned us and told us to phone back so we did - curious and all.

A genleman, very polite, answered and described who he was and what his company was all about. His fatal flaw was after he described who he was, he asked for my name and what kind of car I drove!! He had no idea what my vehicle was yet he seemed to know that the warrenty was going to expire soon...when in reality, the warrenty doesn't expire for another year or 45,000km's.

So, that was the first triggar that told me it was a scam. After realizing it was likely a scam, i played along with it to see what I could all get out of him. I asked him why he didn't know my name or the kind of car i drove, or what my factory warrenty on my car was and he had nothing for me. He beat around the bush on the answers.

I asked him about the warrenty he was offering. Different levels of coverage he offered, up to zero deductuable and 320,000km bumper to bumper warrenty. hahaha. oh man. It just made no sense at all what he was offereing. So i told him i was going to call the dealership and get back to him.

So I went on the internet and googled it and quickly realized it was a scam. So now when he calls back he will get an earfull. Good thing I didn't give him any personal infomation or money!!!

Beware!! Just don't believe anything anymore. Do your research before comitting to anything. With the amount of identy theft and scams out there one can not be to cautious. I have been taken for a ride in the past and lost out on 600$ and never again will that happen. I do my research now before giving out anything to anyone!!

Oh and I believe this company is targeting the older generations (60+) just like most other scams out there!!
