George (aka John) Gibney John or Jon George Gibney has charges of rape of minors in Ireland. He left Ireland in 1994 after D.P.P. was unsuccessful in bringing him to justice, new charges filed= he was gone. We are pressuring DPP/Gardai/J Orange City, Florida

In 1994 Ireland's National Olympic SWim coach and head of the National Swimming Association. An 'esteemed' member of many government bodies with many friends in high places, was charged with multiple counts of rape and molestation fo multiple children, boys and girls. He had managed to play his perverted role of child raping pederast and esteemed national figure for almost 3 decades. He had bullied, coerced and manipulated his child victims into silence even though several of them ahd complained over and over before, no-one had bothered to listen.

He destroyed Olympic standard hopefuls. Shattered dreams and lives of whole families. He is a monster. The worst kind because he is still out there.

In 1994 he fled Ireland immediately after he won a court injunction (a loophole in the law now closed). His was the first of the many child-abuse cases to go to trial in Ireland's sordid history of child-abuse. His victims fought back by making new statements to file charges against him immediately after the injunction, in order to bring new charges- there were just so many to choose from.

To date, 16 yrs later, the Irish D.P.P. has never sought his extradition from the United States. He has lived, worked, volunteered all this time- with children.

He even coached swimming for JEFCO in Calif. He has lived in Utah, Napa, Colorado, and now has had his nest disturbed, in Florida. He is an 'Outside Guard' for the Knights of Columbus in Altamonte Springs Fl. (quite a noteably long way from his home, where there are many closer parishes). I did note yesterday that the knights have removed his name from their member list???? There was major news coverage in Ireland last week after One Child International petitioned the Govt. as well as US Embassy, to seek his extradition and serve justice. His many victims have never had the opportunity to face their rapist, and while he remains free, more children remain at risk. There has been much written of George (aka John aka Jon) Gibney.
