They sell their cars to desperate people with bad credit and take advantage of people with high payments and APR for several years.  These cars are older cars and have payment of over $350.00 a month.  I am aware of three (3) individuals from my local area who purchased cars from them...and the cars were all repossessed several months later.  Georgia Car Credit take these cars and resell them.

One instance, they sold this mid-aged lady in the year of 2012, a 2004 Mercury Sable, with APR of 27.92% and payments of $359.00 a month.  Total paymebnt for the car would add up to $19,423.52.

Later on, Georgia Car Credit hires a law firm to sue this person and produced a voucher stating they re-sold the car one year later for $3,224.46.  Under the original deal, the owner would have paid $19,423.52 for a 2004 Mercury Sable (a car that was eight (8) years old when she purchsed it)

They have pressured individuals (three in my local area) to either agree to pay the money or they will take them to court and garnish their paychecks.  This tactic has been accomplished by scare tactics using law firms who file court orders to retrieve money owed. This is a very low-down scare tactics hiring a law firm to go after people who are already struggling and have very limited funds available. They know these people can't afford an attorney to fight them!

I strongly recommend the state of Georgia Attorney General and others fully investigate Georgia Car Credit business practices and the scheme they use on desperate people.  They know in their hearts that these people can't afford these payments and that they are desperate for transportation.  These people are targeted and later on lose the cars and then sued by a law firm for a car that was resold.

This company is so corrupt from top to bottom!

So..

So which one of the 3 people are you?  Perhaps since you know so much about the Sable we can figure that this is actually you...yep..bullseye.

Here are some facts.  While I don't know this company specifically I can just about guarantee you that they are a type of "Buy Here/Pay Here" dealer that deals with people with bad credit.  That is people who have failed to prove they can handle credit as such they are deamed a "high risk".  Now, being a high risk means a few things...one that you pay a much higher interest rate than someone with good credit.  Second, that you don't always have the selection of the best cars because these types of dealers deal with older cars.

Another fact, every person who walks into this(or any) dealer has all of the power.  It is their responsibility to make sure that they can handle the payments.  It is up to them if they feel that the car is too much, too old, or not for them.  If they don't like they deal they can get up and walk right out.  However, once they sign on the dotted line they have made a legal agreement to make the specified payments.

If they fail to make those payments the car is legally reposesed and resold.  The original borrower is then still responsible for the debt.  You call these lawsuits "threats"...but they are not threats they are real possibilities.   But this brings up an interesting question.

If they settle out of court where did they get the money?  Then why couldn't they get this money to pay on the original loan when they had the car?

If they didn't settle and went to court, judges are often very lienient when it comes to these types of cases if a person truly can't afford to pay it back.  To the point where the judge may not rule against the company, but try to work out plans that are workable for everyone.  That is if the judge feels that they are telling the truth.  If the judge feels that the defendent is lying or hiding certain things to avoid paying, generally the gloves are off and the defendent is basically screwed.

One other question.  Since you seem to know everything about the situation.  What percentage of cars that this dealer sells are repossessed?
