Gershon Luria rents in Richmond California, Berkeley, San leandro, and oakland. He illegally enters tenants units and looks through their belongings. I have had to call the Berkeley police for him coming in on my minor child. He stalks your unit and takes pictures of you and when you piss him off her throws his money around to do an illegal eviction. Not sure how he gets away with not serving tenants but he mus have friends that are law officials. This is the worst landlord, look up his reviws on youtube to see other upset tenants. The people who live in other units he doesn't own on my street can't stand this guy. He is not good to rent from so if you do you have been notified so do it at your own risk.

This dude is a clown, I never ask people to believe what they here, do your own research and please report your experience here because if you rent from him you will be back reporting to ripoff.

At your own risk is all I say. Oh, not to mention he lies under oath so be prepared. He told the judge he has a bed ridden tenant and the person he was lying about st works and drives in her 70's.

On December 11, 2018 Dioma Burks lost again in court

Dioma Burks filed a lawsuit against me for 'suffering' and on December 11, 2018 she lost again in court. She also agreed on her own will to leave my apartment instead of facing eviction, although she was represented by a top lawyer at no cost to her. She almost burned the apartment, she uses unsafe candles and the headboard was half-burned as a result of this.

She has tried to 'milk' landlords in the past, she went through paralegal training and very knowledgeable of court procedures and the law in general. However, her malicious intents are so clear that she always loses. In my case she literally CRIED in court and said that she represent her 13 YO daughter who is not really her natural born daughter, in front of a very sympathetic judge but no proof whatsoever.

She damaged my furniture and the apartment and did not pay rent or deposit. Be aware!

An open letter for Dioma Burks

Dear Dioma, The Rippoff comments that you published against me are wrong and you know it. The only reason that I entered your apartment was because you gave me a 30 day notice to leave and repeated the notice, in a way that it was reasonable for me to believe that you will do what you committed to do. When I entered on December 3, 2017 your car was not there, and when I saw that you did not leave I left the apartment immediately. For this reason it was impossible for you to file for a restraining order against me, although you said that you did. Your claim that I filed for illegal eviction is also false. I filed because you did not pay the deposit. Your claim that I must have friends that are law officials is untrue. As you know I did file for an eviction against you. 

You yourself said that I filed an illegal eviction, so I do not understand how this makes me a liar, since I did file one and since you yourself declared that I did. The claim that you can prove that I am a liar is also untrue. I had a few last minute cancellations of potential renters, and one tenant who stated that ‘he knew that I enter other units without permission’ and he left the apartment because of it. It is clear from the email exchange between me and this tenant that they are unable to give any example and it is reasonable that they have relied on your report since there in no proof and there has never been a claim that I have done such a thing, other than your false claim in the subject ‘Ripoff Report’.

Thr apartment that was vacated by the tenant mentioned above has been empty since July 30 and I estimate that it will take me at least another two weeks before I am able to rent it, as a direct result of your damaging ‘Ripoff Report’. The monthly rent for this apartment is $1750 so at this time I request that you pay me half of this amount and also confirm that you have asked the ‘Rippoff Report to remove your complaint by providing me with a copy of such a letter or an email directly to the ‘Rippoff Report’ customer service. If you fail to do this I believe that I will have substantial monetary damage since potential tenants do read the report, which is the first thing that one sees when searching my name on Google, as many potential tenants do these days. Therefore, if this libel remains on line I intend to take legal action against you. Sincerely,   Gershon Luria

For a potential applicant: Pease contact me at my email garyluria@gmail.com. I will provide you with Ms. Burks’ November 1st, 2017 30 day notice to vacate the apartment and her refusal to pay her deposit or her rent ‘because she is leaving.’ She confirmed this notice later in November. When it appeared that she left I did enter as I was entitled to and found out that she lied, her belongings were still there; so I immediately left the apartment.

Her daughter was there, and when she did arrive later she called the police while I was still in the property and I explained the situation to the two policemen and the case was closed. SHE NEVER HAD GROUNDS TO FILE EVEN TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER because it was all her doing.

I can also provide her emails which proves that she stayed in 2018 without paying her deposit or rent, and anyone can understand the rest. The court agreement that forced her to leave in order to avoid eviction is confidential, but her own emails tells the entire story.

Don't believe what you hear do your homework

A Prolific and Proficient Liar

Ms. Dioma Burks is a most prolific and proficient liar who has learned to use lies to manipulate situations and try to extort money from landlords. She managed to purchase a brand new Cadillac SUV while living solely on government money. She was the worst tenant imaginable, first reporting that everything is in good shape in the apartment, then that something is broken, and then now allowing the landlord in to repair. She failed to pay, was forced to vacate by the court, and now seems bitter and vindictive, spreading lies about me on the internet. She left the apartment baly damaged with signs a ton of candle wax on the floors and urniture and the bed with burn damage. Repairs amounted to over $5,000. I hope you never have a nasty person such as Ms. Burks spreading lies about you. In fact, I have been serving some 200 satisfied tenants professionally and lawfully for the past 30 years.

Gershon Luria Has Property in Richmond and Berkeley and not to be trusted

This man has made up so many lies, and he is a character quite entertaining. The proof is in the records, check the court where you will find no eviction from Gershon Luria and me proof he is a lier. This way you can see just from this report how delusional this man is. Check his court records reputation, check his complaints at the Berkeley Housing Authority, his complaints at the Berkeley rental board.

Check how he has had police called on him from entering tenants units unlawfully with the Berkeley police department, check with other tenants or even check with tenants in neighboring apartments he manages to offend them and create problems. Don't beleive this at your own risk, do your homewark on him or you will be sorry. I am not a landlord so he can lie all he wants on my character it just shows more and more who he is because I can always prove what he says is a lie.

Dioma Burks was evicted before me, she try to milk landlords but so far always lost in court!

Dioma Burks file for a restraining order against another owner, Mr. Vince Caso with similar complains in 2017. The Court said: “Plaintiff action is DISMISSED in its entirety, and any related motion for preliminary Injunction is hereby DENIED as moot” see (PS) Burks v. Caso (2:17-cv-00894), California Eastern District Court. Ms. Burks was evicted from that property. In 2011 Ms Burks filed a discrimination case against Mr. Bick that was dismissed as well, see 11-924 - Burks v. Bick. On the other hand I rented to some 200 tenant without a single restraining order filing ever against me. I only want to help Ms. Burks. She cause some $5000 damage but worse of all she almost burned her bed and the entire property. One of the reason for the eviction was that she did not let me or a professional inspector in her unit.

No Reason To Lie Check before renting

 Don't believe me at your own risk. Warning do your homework before renting. Ask the neighbors, check the complaints at the rental board. But if you are reading this don't say you weren't warned. Thirty years in the business does not clear anyone of wrong doing. People need to check the reputation of who they are renting from before signing a lease.

NOT EVEN A SINGLE TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER WAS FILED AGAINST ME; i HAVE BEEN RENTING SINCE 1988 THIS IS 30 YEARS, NO TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT RESTRAINING OFDER EVER FILED AGAINST ME. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE WAS TRUEIT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY EASY TO FILE SUCH AN ORDER!
